hello Pantherius, I have up loaded the zip file, desactivated and reactivated the plugin, but still, do not see how to add comments. Once a survey is done, how can I erase the results ? thank you in advance, Regards, Arnaud

Just found it here: http://alpesprovence.camping-lac.com/questionnaire-satisfaction_fr

It is works well for me. Added visible=”true”, so it is displayed immediately, therefore you don’t have to scroll down to make it visible.

ok thanks. It works now with this. Have a nice day. Arnaud

You’re welcome!

Hi !

I recently purchased Modal Survey, and I would really like to know, if there is a simple way of (re)directing users to a specific page after completing a survey???

Best, Jes / Denmark

Hello Jes,

You can simply add any HTML / JavaScript code to the ‘Thank you message’ field. In this case, you may add the following:

<script>setTimeout(function(){window.location = ‘http://www.yourwebsiteurl.com';}, 1000);</script>

As a result, it will redirected with 1sec delay at the end of the survey. I’ll add this option as a feature in the next version. Hopefully it will be released in the next days or on the next week.

Regards,
Pantherius

Great news! Thanks for the swift reply :)

You’re very welcome!

The new version has been released today.

Hello, Another question. The survey will be used in my campsite on a Ipad. So with the same user, IP adress… I have added this on the thank you message : <script>setTimeout(function(){location.reload();}, 3000);</script> I have clicked “on” for “Display Once per User”, and “off” for “Display Once per Filled Out”. Still, the survey is not refreshed. I am using Chrome at the moment. thank you for your kind help and congrats once again for the job one. Arnaud

You have to determine which plugin throwing this error and deactivate. It is possible, when you move your mouse cursor at the filename on the right of the error line. You will see the path of the file, that contains the plugin or the theme name.

Pantherius

Hello, Thanks. It was “fancy box” (if this can ever help another user). But still, it does not work with fancy box non activated and I do not have any error message now… Regards, Arnaud

First, try to decrease the number to 1000 from 3000.

If it still doesn’t work, then please send me your website URL with login credentials via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check it directly on your website.

Hello, Great Plugin. I understand that there is not the possibility to have the customer write comments. But is there a way to add a link to another form where comments could be added (for example, on the “thank you” message ? Also, it is possible to ask customer to enter some information (name, age… whatever). Thank you for your answer. Here is my purchase ticket : e9ccd8d9-5b28-4175-8a55-45160bbe6b3c Kind regards, Arnaud

You can turn on notifications about the new updates on your Downloads page on CodeCanyon, so you will get an email about each new releases. Since, it is a premium plugin, you won’t get any notifications on your website admin, because it doesn’t hosted on wordpress.org as a free plugin.

To get that kind of informations, you will need the open text answer. At the moment, you can create samples, eg.:

How old are you?

  • Below 20
  • 21-30
  • 31-40
  • Above 40

Pantherius

Hello, OK great. Thanks. I wait for one week, will be much easier.

You’re welcome!

Great plugin with awesome support. I highly recommend it for everyone that needs a survey plugin.

Thank you!

Hey!

Wanted to ask two things about this survey plugin.

Is it possible to have it refresh after every survey? Meaning after one person completing the survey it will refresh the page after saying “Thank you for your feedback”.

I’m going to implement this in my clinic so after every patients meeting they will be able to fill in this survey after. What I noticed the plugin didn’t do was to refresh after the completion of the survey. So the next patient would come and it would say “Thank you for your feedback” and not display the survey. I would really like it if it was automatically refreshed after every survey.

2nd question. (dumb question)

Can I display the results separately on a different page?

Best regards,

Daniel

You’re very welcome!

I’m already tried out on my dev site and it is works well. Add this line to the ‘Thank you message’ field:

<script>setTimeout(function(){location.reload();}, 3000);</script>

It is set to 3 seconds, change the value for different timing. If you have any difficulties, just let me know.

Kind regards,
Pantherius

Thank you Pantherius!

I can highly recommend this. I am very satisfied with this! Great job!

You’re very welcome, happy to hear that!
If you like it, please don’t forget to rate the plugin on your Downloads page.

Thank you in advance! Have a nice weekend!

Hi there,

Is there a functionality that allows the survery results/graphs to be e-mailed automatically to a predefined address?

I’m not sure it will be completely fits to your needs or not, but check out my other item: http://codecanyon.net/item/simple-signup-wordpress-email-subscription-form/7644126

You can add many type of elements, embed it to the page, then send the answers by email. It doesn’t provide charts, because it is not really a survey, but may worth a shot.

Regards,
Pantherius

That’s a very cool plugin. At the moment, I’m using Machine Theme which makes use of Contact Form 7 plugin.

As you can see, it’s caught pretty much inbetween a survey and a contact form, because people have to provide their contact details and answer questions.

Thanks, Pantherius. I’ll give it a bit more thought.

You’re very welcome!

Good afternoon: video tutorials have this plugin to both the creation of surveys to see the results of the surveys?

Hello lmedranr,

The following video is demonstrate some of the admin features (create survey) with the older version of the plugin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8gty_8Rn8U

It has much more features now.

Displaying results quite simple, only few clicks in the WYSIWYG editor (edit post/page screen on your admin) See the screenshots on the item’s page. There is no video tutorial videos about including the results at the moment, but I’m planning to make more videos in the future.

Best regards,

Hi, Does your plugin support one question per slide in a sequence ?

Hello ChelseaChan,

The plugin doesn’t support including the questions separatedly via shortcodes.
So, you can’t include one question to each slide in a slider plugin at the moment. However, it is a nice idea, just added to my TODO list. Am I understood your question correctly?

Best regards,
Pantherius

Good Day!

I want to ask if the plugin has the capacity to embed the survey on a page? Just like a google form?

I am considering on buying this but I have to confirm if it can do what I mentioned above.

Arnold

Hello Arnold,

Yes, you can embed the survey to any page / post, see the example on the demo page:

Thanks pantherius! I’ll ask our company to buy this plugin.

You’re very welcome!

Hi, I have version 1.6.7 and the Background Color feature isn’t working for me. In Chrome I can see the real time change but not in IE or FF and once I click the Close button nothing is saved. So the results are in FF and IE the background of the survey is transparent. In Chrome it is gray and readable at least.

Now changing the Font Color and Border works fine in all 3 browsers.

Hello atomymasters,

Please try to delete all markers in the background color picker, except the last one. Set the color, then close and click on the update button.

If the issue still exists, please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’ll fix it directly on your website.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Pantherius, I purchased the plugin this evening and was excited to get to using it but the embed functionality is not working. If I choose “global” then the survey will show up on the page but in a floating fashion. I would like the survey to be embedded (flat). I’ve tried both of these and neither work:

[survey id=”1526520916” style=”flat” message=”You already filled out this survey!”]

[survey id=1526520916 style=flat]

If I drop the style=flat or style=”flat” then it works in the floating style: [survey id=1526520916]

I’ve looked and there are no Javascript errors on the page so that’s not the issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you, Coding Blocks

Thank you for your reply Pantherius. But to clarify, I am not using the global setting – I was just saying that if I turn that on then I get the floating version of the survey on the page. If I turn that off and I use the flat (embedded) style, then it never shows up on the page at all. And the ONLY thing I have on the page is the shortcode to display the survey.

Sorry for misunderstood you, this behavior of the shortcode is weird. Please send me your website URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’ll check it. It is hard to find out the issue without see.

Thank you!

Kind regards,
Pantherius

Hello Coding Blocks,

Just faced on with another similar issue like yours. The problem was caused by other plugin that also using the [survey] shortcode with this name. If you have any other survey plugin installed, please try to deactivate and check the Modal Survey shortcode again.

I’m planning to rename the shortcode expression in the next release.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Why is there an update everyday? If it was just a matter of clicking the update button That would not bother me but that is not the case.

I’m just working hard to add new features to the plugin. Updates are free and you can always check the changelog on the item’s page.

Regards,
Pantherius

And it is great and I really appreciate it. But couldn’t you make it so that we can update the plugin directly through the site? Other plugins and themes from here have that option.

The new features provides an option to upload a new ZIP through the admin and the plugin do the rest of the update automatically.

can i restrict voting based on user log in? and also export users that voted for each poll?

Hi locomoservices,

The survey is absolutely anonymous, therefore restriction, based on the users’ logged status is not a feature at the moment. However, displaying the survey for logged in users only is already on my TODO list.

The plugin export the survey with user votes, see the export examples on the item’s page.

Hello locomoservices,

Just would like to letting you know, the latest release of Modal Survey provides the option to display the survey for logged in users only.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Hello
can i show the results in sidebar widget?

Hi besfe70,

Just created a simple page to demonstrate it:

thanks

You’re very welcome. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask here or email me through my profile page contact form.

I installed your plugin (stable version) but the survey shows up each time the website is loaded. The “Show once” options are not working. I assume it could be related to the way a user is identified, i am behind a load balancer and all visitors enter the website with the same IP adddress…could this be the reason?

Hello rwenzlofsky,

The users are tracked by cookies, so probably the IP doesn’t matter. Did you set ‘Display Once per User’ to ON and ‘Display Once per Filled Out’ to OFF ?

Are you using it globally or with shortcode on a specified page?

Regards,
Pantherius

This plugin is excellent, however I encounter one little problem. When I set the “choosable number of answers” up to let’s say 3 it first stays like this, but when I check back the next day, then it has set itself back to the default value of 1. Do I need to adjust the settings somewhere to make it stay at “3”?

Hello MTHoffmann,

Glad to hear that, you like the plugin.

The issue you mentioned is weird, so could you please try out the following:

- set the “choosable number of answers”, after the successful save reload the page and check it again (the value saved or not)

- if it’s ok, then go to the frontend area, fill out the survey and check the value of the “choosable number of answers” text input on your admin

It doesn’t need to adjust the setting somewhere else. I didn’t notice any similar issue before, therefore it should be a special case on your website. Do you have any cache or automatic backup/restore enabled on your website?

Kind regards,
Pantherius

Just released a new version today, please download and try out. If the issue still exists, please let me know.

Kind regards,
Pantherius

hi

i just purchased this and have a few questions:

01. is there any way to use radio buttons as choice options?

02. is there any way to use stars for a rating system ie. rate 1-5?

03. can there be a paragraph field for someone to enter some text in answer to a question?

04. when you export a PDF how do you remove the following from the generated file or change it to something else?

generated by Modal Survey http://sympies.com/modal-survey

i never went through all of the options properly and thought the above – especially radio buttons would’ve been a default filed option [then again i may have missed it but can’t see in the documentation]

thanks in advance

CLIVE

Hello Clive,

1. You can set the option to allow choosing multiple answers with the ‘Choosable number of answers’ text field on admin, below the answers. It won’t display the radio button physically (it doesn’t look well), but it will underline the selected answers.

2. Without customization it is not possible, but it is a great idea. Just added it to my TODO list.

3. No, in my opinion allowing text inputs only in the survey isn’t a lucky choice. As a result, you will have hundreds of different answers and creating stats is complicated. Users also can spamming in that case. Alternatively, I’m considering to add an option, like one ‘other’ field to each question that allows strict text input.

4. Find that texts in the modules/export_pdf.php file. Export option has been added in the latest update, so customizing this part of the PDF is already on my TODO list.

You’re very welcome!

Best regards,
Pantherius

Hi,

is the plugin compatible with WP Super Cache?

Best Regards Christian

Hello Christian,

I don’t know about any incompatibility issue with the plugin you mentioned.

Hi there,

we bought the plugin last night, but is not what we were looking for, Can we display charts on our site based on the results ? or are the charts available only within the dashboard ? is there a chance that we can obtain a refund ?

Regards

Hi weblink_z,

Yes, you can include many type of the results with the shortcode manager in your WordPress editor. Find the screenshot about how to do it on the item’s page.
Refund is managed by Envato, it is out of my control.

If you have any other questions, freel free to ask.

Pantherius
