You can’t use shortcode. You must show the book in lightbox mode. An example of using a lightbox – http://page-flip.info/ambre_jquery_flipbook/lightbox.html
I gave you a list of flipbooks that have support for Lightbox – just choose any.
I need the text/html to present all info and links about each book. I didn’t see in the lightbox examples links to order a book and my descriptions may be too much for a lightbox. Pity, then I’ll try to include my WP PDF viewer.

Ehm…. Because I’m a non-fiction author of mostly historical topics, my books often have special characters, like from Old Norse and other ancient Germanic languages. And I want to show the book snippets as one-page-view only. Which of the flipbooks you mentioned support those?
Forget the previous …. Bought the Ambre flipbook.Followed the steps in the documentation. But after pressing the button “link” in the WYSIWYG Editor, the code load_book_lightbox(‘wild-hunt-and-furious-host’) is not accepted, it is colored red and adds http// to that code. what am I doing wrong?
One more question … I’ve to add 27 books to the Flipbook plugin. At creating a 2nd ‘Book’, I see, the configuration of the first book is not kept, but instead your settings are. Isn’t there an option or can you add it, to either keep the configuration of the previous book, or to import them in the next book? Else it will become a long-time and boring thing to add all books … they all should have the same configuration at ‘General’, ‘On / Off’, ‘Color’ and ‘Typography’.

Thanks, got that. Still, I cannot get the link correct to get the flipbook started. Copied your example with the Inspect Element tool, but my WYSIWYG editor (TinyMCE) removes it all the time or does not accept it. I don’t see the Lightbox link in the book configuration.

We’ve been using this plug-in for a while and while we like it, there are some issues we would like to see addressed:
1. It takes about 14 hours to upload a 250 page magazine – will we one day be able to upload a PDF for the plugin to extract pages?
2. We would like to be able to hot-link from the table of contents
3. Will we be able to embed video?

Do you use FlipBook as template ?
If so, you need to add code icon in the file “templates / template-flipbook.php”. Then deactivate and activate the plugin again.

You can not transform posts to pages flipbook. But creating flipbook is easy (just as simple as creating posts)

Please note: If I click on the download button, the PDF is visible. This tells me that it is at least uploading correctly. What am I missing?

If you want to add a page to the book, press the button “Add New Page”.

Arrows is a graphic file. You must download the file (right click on the graphic file and choose it save as) and edited in graphic program.
This is by far the worst learning curve I have ever had for a new product. I need to change the color of the icons and the arrows, I finally figured out the rest. Am I to understand that I need to find my own colored icons and arrows and then implement them if I want to change the color? I have many, many, many questions, this is just the start. Please respond asap as this is very time consuming and frustrating.
You need to download, change (in a graphics program) and do the upload again. Then the appearance of icons can be any (no restrictions) Screen where you can download and upload again do:
