Hey guys, email sent… have you had time to look it over????
Hey, Bloooming,
I’ve just discovered this shopping cart, and I’m blown away by the simplicity and sleek design of it. My question is, I’m currently using WP eStore, and while I’m semi-happy with it (ie., content delivery, customer database, etc., is pretty functional), the cart that it comes with looks like sh*t (it’s ugly and cheap-looking). So, can I somehow start using your cart, instead of theirs? Meaning, can I keep my current eStore for digital downloads delivery? Because it seems that your cart doesn’t actually send people a secure download link. I’m willing to trash eStore and start with a whole new system. Let me know what you think; thanks, man.
Hey,
I have no experience with WP eStore, and you can theoretically use woooShop on top of it. But keep in mind that woooShop would not connect to your existing database in any way, and you’ll have to maintain the products twice.
However if the design of eShop is the only thing that concerns you, I’d suggest investing in a good designer instead
Cheers
Great looking script but perhaps I’m missing something. After reviewing the coding for the functions file I have a huge concern about the security. Specifically, the MYSQL SELECT and DELETE statements. I don’t see what coding (ex. mysql_real_escape_string) is in place to stop a sql injection.
Hey,
there are no database alterations happening in the front-end, and the one select statement is sanitized. So, there is no need to be concerned about security.
However, I see you have never purchased a file on this marketplace, how can you “review” the code without having it?
In case you got the script from somewhere else, you should indeed be worried about security.
Regards
Hello, It seems really interesting. Is it possible to add payment by check or IBAN , or just send an email with datas?
Hi
I’m having problems trying to display products within CMS Made Simple and could do with some help. I’d like to give you access to the website etc so could you please email me and I’ll send them through to you.
Richard admin@handcoded.co.ukWhat, in your view, would be the easiest/simplest way to use this cart to serve digital download links?
I love this cart. But I need to make it ‘talk’ to something else which delivers – preferably shortened URL ’s – that expire.
What would you recommend that I use? I need something that is preferably really lightweight/basic. Thank you.
Man, I’ve been battling with jquery conflicts, trying every solution I can find online… What now?
OK so, after getting educated about jQuery, it seems like the cart needs to be made forward compatible which is on the developer’s part of the cart system. Why can’t their software handle moving forward? One of the key elements of developing systems is forward compatibility and it sounds like they missed the boat. February 19, 2010 was the release date of jQuery 1.4.2., and now that my entire site has buttons everywhere with this cart, all my plugins are freakin’ out.
I’ve read through every page in the comments section, all 13 pages, and they seem to answer maybe 40% of the questions asked. When they do reply to you, it’s usually with a super-short answer that speaks to you as though you, the buyer, are an advanced developer yourself.
Also, support is voluntary and not required in any form.
You purchased an 8 dollar script, that does not make me your personal web developer. If this was the case, the script would cost 8000 dollar.
So no, I will not analyze and debug your existing site, that doesn’t have anything to do with woooShop, and write you a step by step manual about how to use jQuery plugins.
The item description clearly states that ‘a basic knowledge of web design’ is required. This place is called ‘CodeCanyon’, if you don’t have the skills yourself, please get a freelancer.
We’re not asking for him to become our ‘bitch’; it’s a matter of answering simple/easy questions that are posted to him in this very thread. LOOK how many questions are unanswered, ignored, passed over.
I’ve been trying to get this damn cart to work for a week now, does anyone care? Even the guy at the convenience store who sells me tobacco is able to make me feel taken care of, cared for, respected. I don’t ask him to roll my cigarettes, or to follow me around with a light. I don’t ask any person for anything unreasonable, that’s not how I roll.
What I’m saying is there is a ‘high and mighty’ attitude, a coldness, a lack of human warmth, with these quick, short, mysterious replies that seem to have the intention to get rid of people rather than to be grateful and helpful. (I would grab everyone’s questions and use them to beef up the documentation, how hard would that be?)
I trust my own gut feelings and my own heart over your quick and snappy replies. I know when someone cares about me, the customer. And I know when someone doesn’t. THAT is my beef with you, man.
I’m not a stupid idiot who can’t follow easy instructions. I’m a flesh and blood person with a simple tech issue. I’m also a good person and a true friend, but you’ll probably never discover this about me because you’re too busy trying to get rid of me.
hi, i have add all the item in the admin page, now how can I display it on my product page?
i add the span class=”wooo”1 button but the button is empty and also the shoping cart is empty. it does the animation but no value.
can u give me a simple php file that is working maybe? or a clue how to make it work?
thanks
loving the cart man! Thx for reply on Twitter
Hi,
I just installed this cart. After adding the scripts and css into the html header, my jquery thumbnail images are not popping up on the screen, instead it changes the page and opens up as a static image in the browser.
Any solutions to this?
Hey There,
Looking forward to using this! Got a question though… I followed the readme and for some reason my page isn’t showing the cart or buttons. I even copied the source to the demo page. I imported the SQL and updated the config. Not to sure whats going on.
Can you help me out please? URL : http://www.caliregional.com/ I do realize that your support is optional, but this script fits my website perfectly!
Thanks!
Hey,

Hi,
The woooshop cart is not showing up. I can’t figure out why. I messaged you the details through your profile page. Please help!
Hey,
sent you an email a few minutes ago:
You have several Javascript errors on your site, which breaks all other plugins. Please revise your code: https://skitch.com/bloooming/8ws4j/best-ipad-case-best-ipad-cover-best-ipad-3-case-best-ipad-2-case-best-ipad-case-everCheers
Is there a way, we can add field to the order, so when the buyer purchases there is an option he can fill out and we can get those details.
