10/24/11 – PLEASE NOTE : The Weather Channel has just changed there subscription module. They no longer provide a free data feed. For More Info, please check out the info here: http://portal.theweatherchannel.com/ I am currently exploring options to see if there are still some free data points that can be gathered with the “basic free” subscription.
Using The Weather Channel’s Weather (Http://Weather.com) API , add the data that you need to make your app cutting edge. Lots of variables in this one!!!
A full 5 day forecast. Day and Night.
NOTE : The Tabbar updates the titles with the next 4 days forecast, however, the buttons are not active. The functions.js file has all of the available variables set however. They are just commented out for this example. Enable the parsed data that you need .. add them to a new view and your are om business. Or, if you are just looking for the current weather data than you have everything you need. Just delete the tabbar and its a fully working and functioning example. There are approximately 200 data points the the Weather Channel provides.Make sure to signup for your Partner ID and License Number here: http://registration.weather.com/ursa/xmloap/step1 As it will not work without it.
Icons included are distributed through Weather Channel Registration.
Example also requires the freely available Titanium SDK . Tested on SDK 1 .7.2
Runs on iPhone and iPad.
Complete sample included.
