Hi OnePress, congrats you have added some nice features to this plugin, really like the Tweet or wait function. My only question is, can it be used with the tweet button you show on your sample page but without the “counter” .. I don’t want people to see how many people have tweeted to unlock..

Thanks in advance and good luck with the sales.

OnePress

Nice plugin. What if the visitor dont have twitter. They are not able to read the article?

Thanks, Erik

OnePress

Hi,

The plugin provides an optional abilities to add a cross at the top-right corner and to add an unlocking timer that allow users who haven’t a twitter account to unlock content. Unfortunatly, there is no way to know whether a user have twitter account or not.

Hi ! I like this plugin. how to translate “or wait” or do you have a PO file for this plugin and plugin facebook? Thanks

OnePress

Hi,

Thank you for your review. Unfortunatly, the plugin doesn’t provide special localization files. But you can change the label by editing the file jquery.op.tweet2unlock.js that placed into the assets folder of the plugin. The text labels are located on the top of this file.

Regards, Paul.

Hi Paul. The theme in which we use your plugin uses custom post types. The plugin loads on default pages and posts. But only shortcodes work in other post types (portfolio and gallery) and javascript is not called. Is there a way to trigger both the liketounlock and tweettounlock function manually? Thank you in advance.

OnePress

Hi,

Not sure what you mean. The plugin works with custom post types as well and it can be called anywhere including any type of posts and pages, widgets, categories or by using the function do_shortcode.

Could you provide URL of your site with example where the issue occurs? Please use the contact form in my profile to send this info.

I tried the bonus like2unlock…. I noticed in the Like2Unlock comments you posted about a fix for this? Maye the like2unlock bonus is not the updated version? Can you upload a Tweet2Unlock with the latest like2unlock version so no more error? thanks!

Just tried Tweet2Unlock… Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /var/www/site/wp-content/plugins/tweet2unlock/items/shortcodes/tweet-shortcode.php on line 178

OnePress

Hi,

Above all, make sure that you use the standard WP way to upload the plugin archive (if you use FTP ,the files may be corrupted).

If you still get this error please open the file where the error occur “www/site/wp-content/plugins/tweet2unlock/items/shortcodes/tweet-shortcode.php” and send me a screenshot of the ending lines of this file. Please use the contact form in my profile.

If you know your php version, please send me this information too.

I have found the reason. It’s a php option: short_open_tag = Off To fix this problem quicly you can change that options to the value On. I will upload the fix on CodeCanyon soon.

Hello Paul,

We just bought this, however we have a problem.

On the ‘Create New Locker’ page in the back-end, the options underneath ‘Basic Options’ and ‘Advanced Options’ disappear immediately and are then inaccessible. This means that when clicking the tabs ‘Functions & Appearance’, ‘Twitter Button’ and ‘Custom script’, no further options show up.

Example: http://cl.ly/image/27082k302c2m

How would we fix this?

Thanks.

OnePress

Hello,

It seems that one of the plugins installed on your site conflicts with the Tweet 2 Unlock. You can try to find that plugin by deactivating one by one or just send me access to your blog to check code of the admin area.

Hi guys, just purchased tweet2unlock but I’m experiencing the error: “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end…”

These are the logs from the server:

mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in wp-content/plugins/like2unlock/admin/settings.php on line 75 mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in wp-content/plugins/tweet2unlock/items/shortcodes/tweet-shortcode.php on line 178

I tried installing the plugins both with the WP embedded installer and via FTP with the same result.

According to what I found looking around it could be a problem of compatibility with PHP 5 .3…

Any hint? :-(

OnePress

Hi,

Thank you for your report. But I need your help to fix the problem. Could you create a phpinfo file on your server and send me an URL to the one via the contact form in my profile?

The short instruction how to create the such file is here: http://kb.mediatemple.net/questions/764/How+can+I+create+a+phpinfo.php+page%3F#gs

I need to check your php configuration to find a reason.

Hi, I’m not sure about what happened but apparently without a specific reason the plugin stopped working: it’s hiding the portion of test I’m asking to hide but it’s not showing the twitter\fb button to unlock the text.

I have replied you via email. Sorry for the late.

Hello Paul,

We fixed our previous issue, thanks for the reply.

We have another question: Is it possible to customize the RSS output of the content between the shortcode tags?

As it stands, in the RSS feed the locker functions as it normally should, but only shows the static text.

Ideally, we’d like to show the content which is under the locker – in full – on the RSS feed, and have the locker function in the normal way when the reader views the site directly.

Is this possible?

Thanks, Arron

OnePress

Hello,

I think it’s possible, but it’s not implemented. I will look into it and decide how to make it better and reply you on Monday. Thank you for the question.

Hi guys, installed the plugin just as you specified (not FTP’ing it) everything went smooth but I just can’t get to content locker to appear – It just makes the text that was there blank?

Please see http://footballtipsuk.com/test-tweet/ for an example page and https://dl.dropbox.com/u/227304/tweet2unlock.PNG for how I’ve written the post.

Hi guys, I migrated my website and it looks like /libs/factory/layouts/loader/loader.class.php is still looking for the old absolute path through the variable $filepath.

Where is this stored?

thanks!

OnePress

Hi,

It’s in the database (wp_options, the option ‘factory_[plugin-name]’. At frist try to unintall the plugin and install it again. Then try to remove the option. It’s a known bug that will be fixes in the next versions.

Hi,

Great plugin. Just a few quick questions.

Can it be used to lock pages on wordpress? Like a “tweet to unlock members area” sort of thing? And does it protect against hotlinking directly to the locked page? And lastly, can multiple buttons be used to lock a certain page, and then to unlock only one button needs to be used?

Hope I make sense. =)

Thanks

Regards Marcus

OnePress

Hi Marcus,

Thank you for your interest. Sorry, not sure that you mean a bit.

You can lock any content via shortcodes. It means you can put the locker anywhere where shortcodes are supports, included any pages. You can use the unlimited number of lockers per page.

Hope it helps. Regards, Paul

Default-user

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Can this be used to lock the ‘register’ page on wordpress? And then unlock and allow registration once tweet has been made? I want to be able to only allow users to register as a member on my site once they have tweeted.

Thanks

Regards Marcus

OnePress

In general, you can make it. But complexity of that depends on the registration page you use. If the registration displays via the shortcodes, you will need to wrap those shorcodes via the locker shortcodes, If the registration form is a part of your theme, you will need to use the do_shortcode wordpress method.

Hi Paul,

I appreciate the help so far. I have now purchased and installed the plugin, but I am having trouble locking a short code [wpuf_addpost post_type=”projects”] via the locker shortcodes. The form doesn’t show up at all. Any help? And then also, how can I deactivate the option that remembers users who clicked the button already? Thanks

Regards Marcus

OnePress

Hi Marcus,

Please send me the URL (via the contact form in my profile) where the plugin is used to check it.

Hi,

We have a few lockers on website, if user tweet one locker from one freebie, and will go to another freebie with other locker, this locker is open, and user no more tweet the second freebie… How to make it close for all lockers and don’t open all lockers if people will tweet one time only.

Hello,

Great work on the plugin, it works well as advertised! Is there any way to prevent the plugin from initiating a popup ‘Alert’ that says ‘The page at (domain) says: undefined’?

Hi,

Thank you for purchasing. Please show me the page where the alert shows up.

Hi,

I did send an email but i thought mu questions might help other so i thought to post here also.

Two questions.

First, I wanted to use several lockers on the same page. However as soon as i tweet to unlock the first one, all of the content on the page becomes unlocked. I want people to have to tweet for each piece of content.

Second, and i guess its the same thing really. But is there anyway to hide the content every time the user visits the page, instead of remaining unlocked if you have sent the tweet.

Thanks.

OnePress

Hi,
