Will it work for custom post types too?

omniWP

Not on the current version. Only limited to Posts and Pages. I will try to add it as a feature in the next update. Cheers!

Sounds good. Please make sure it works with WooCommerce. :)

omniWP

Hey!

Titler works on custom post types as well. Didn’t check support for woocommerce, but if custom fields are enabled in their custom post type and they are calling for the_title or get_the_title for displaying the cpt’s title – then it should work as well :)

I will take a better look at it and update if necessary.

Will this work with the nextpage tag? Meaning could I change my page title for every page of an individual post?

omniWP

Yes, it will. Tho the title will remain the same on each page (the title you originally set)

I’m REALLY liking several of your plugins and I’m currently teetering on the fence whether to buy Titler or not. Does the title and shortcode ([titler]You new awesome title![/titler]) go in the post title field? If the shortcode, links, images etc… go in the title field, won’t they show up in search results on Google, RSS, etc…? For example wouldn’t the title look like something like this when indexed by Google?: PS4: Nextgen Console or More of the Same Smiley face

omniWP

Hey Craig, no, the shortcode goes in the edit content area :)

Took the leap and bought the plugin. SO GLAD I DID! Total awesomesauce! This was just what I was looking for! Something to spruce up page and post titles without messing their appearance up in the admin backend, frontpage, search results, etc… Thanks a ton!

omniWP

Cheers Craig! Glad it was what you looked for :) Let me know if you find anything missing, I’ll add and update the plugin!

Does image size/align etc adjust like any other image in the edit content area?

omniWP

Yup, Toggler create wrappers around the content that does not affect the content inside.

I’d like to echo the other calls to make this work with custom post types, especially WooCommerce.

Hi. There is an odd thing happening – I created a new title using Titler v1.5 and it worked as expected. And then I changed the post back to not use the new title. I deleted the shortcodes – even checked in the Text editor to make sure it was clean. But the Titler-formated post still displays. I’ve looked at it in several browsers, on different computers. I’ve cleared caches, cleared revisions, made sure I am not using caching on the site itself, and it still appears. The only way to get it off of the post is to deactivate the plug in. Any thoughts on troubleshooting this?

Btw – one other cool use that you can add to your website is to be able to display your title on multiple lines. So when this is working, it is indeed a very cool plug-in!

Another btw – check your code on your site. I don’t see the title changing color like the text does. The name of the color does change on refresh, but the title does not change to the related or even a different color.

Thanks and best wishes -ab

omniWP

Hey Alberg! To delete a titler, you need to delete the custom field titler creates for the post/page/custom post type. You don’t need to deactivate the plugin. I think I wrote it in the documentation, but if not … I’ll add it. cheers!

the title shouldn’t change its color, only the text … it was an example of the random text feature :)

Thanks for the advice!

Cheers!

HI. Thanks for the quick reply. I would never have seen that on how to delete – I generally don’t even display the custom fields in the post window. Please do make that clearer in the documentation for others. Once I showed the custom field it was a synch to delete the code that was created. Good luck with everything. -ab

gnfb1234

I think I wrote it in the documentation, but if not … I’ll add it. cheers!”

gnfb1234

sorry that snot ver clear Tip for Morons (like Me) look for Custom Fields not Custom posts

gnfb1234

Phew!

gnfb1234

Nope still having trouble redoing existing posts!!! There has to be a more failsafe way than this its like brain surgery!

omniWP

Hello gnfb1234, you don’t have to touch custom fields in order to use Titler. Just use the shortcode. Please give me a live example of something that doesn’t work and we’ll fix it :) (lets move to email, as its hard for me to keep track here).

Hey gnfb1234, Its right there in the documentation, under ‘Limit Titler to single posts/pages’. Cheers! And please send me emails, this place is too messy for support. Thanks!

gnfb1234

I’d like a refund. This plugin does not work at all the way I thought it did. I need to style the post title on the main page, this only works on the actual post page. On the main page this has absolutely no affect on the style of the title. Your description of this plugin is misleading and I totally just wasted my money on this plugin.

omniWP

RTFM, please. (under ‘Limit Titler to Single Post/Page Only’). Thanks! :) (also RTFM @ codecanyon, as I cannot issue a refund).
