Hi, I had a question before purchasing – will this plugin enable me to make any type of Twitter Card, including Player Cards?

InfinityCode

Hello LianaL,

I’m sorry I didn’take that very clear (I’ll update the description now). At the moment, TCWP only support Summary Cards (+Large Images). Player cards and Product Cards weren’t ready for the first release, so have been temporarily disabled. They should be fully functional in version 1.1, which I plan to release in a couple of days.

Thank you for your interest,

TCWP has now been updated with Player Cards and Product Cards.

Hi

Will it work for products in WooCommerce which are custom post types?

Default-user

Great, thanks, I will email you now.

InfinityCode

You should now have received the email.

I did, thanks!

Hey nice plugin, but can’t seem to activate the bonus infusion plugin? I get this error:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Envato_marketplaces in .../infinityfusion/framework/options/envato.php on line 12

Hey there chrawad,

I know what going on here – I’ll fix ASAP and re-upload. As a workaround, I’d recommend trying disabling both, reactivating InfinityFusion first, then TCWP (they are conflicting with each other, and will work fine once activated).

Thanks, Harri

Awesome plugin keep up the great work!

Rookie new user question: do I need to revalidate for every new post?

InfinityCode

Hello arnzen,

I’m not quite sure what you are asking. By default, all posts will generate Summary cards unless specified otherwise (even if the type is ‘Choose One’) in the post’s TCWP metabox. The fields will be filled out automatically using the post’s content, the featured image and the values specified in TCWP’s configuration dashboard.

For example, if you create a new post without touching the TCWP metabox (with a featured image and content), a Summary Twitter Card will be created on the post itself.

If you have any more questions, I’d love to hear from you,

All the Best,

Harri Bell-Thomas hbt.io

Thank you Harri. I have had success with the card showing if I just give the main front page of the domain in the tweet, but it still doesn’t seem to appear with any tweets that include blog links. I wonder if the issue is that I use a WP page as my domain’s front page and the WP blog is in a /blog/ directory? I haven’t been able to tinker with this much over the past month, but I’ll try in the weeks to come.

Hello arnzen,

Would you like to pop over to my support site, support.infinitycode.co.uk, so that we can chat privately. I can have a look at your links for you to try and help find the cause of your problem.

Thanks,
Harri

Great Plugin..

But I have two questions 1.Did you test it with Yoast’s SEO? can it work with it at the same time without any problem? what I mean is.. if you are already getting all green at page analysis of Yoast, and after you activated your plugin, are you still getting all green ?

2. What about gallery cards ? actually one more, why don’t I see video cards at your demo..

Thank you,

Thank you. I bought it only for gallery cards, I will be waiting for your update.

InfinityCode

I have submitted version 1.2 to CodeCanyon with the new gallery card feature. It should become active within 24 hours, or you can update immediately using the inbuilt updater.

Thanks,
Harri

This plugin is awesome. I got approval for all card types. and everything works without any problem.. Thank you Harri :) only they didn’t approve player cards 2 times but after the 3th try with the same meta data, they approved it too. I don’t know why :)

Thank you Harri again :) great job

InfinityCode

Thank you very much, Wizar, for such great feedback!

Fatal error: Call to undefined function json_last_error() in /home/content/16/8804716/html/kangbear/wp-content/plugins/tcwp/framework/admin-functions.php on line 498

is there a solution?

InfinityCode

Hello kangbear,

This should be quite easy to fix (this function is used when communicating with my api server). May I ask what PHP version you are using?

I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties and I’ll hopefully get a fix out ASAP.

Thanks,
Harri

PS. I notice you created a ticket on my support forum: I’ll reply there from now on.

Hello littleantz,

Thanks for your interest!

A Twitter Card is a way of adding enriched content to your tweets. You add the necessary meta data to your webpage/blog post (which is what this plugin manages) and Twitter will register this data about your page and add a ‘card’ to any tweet which has that link in.

For a live example, check out this tweet of one of our clients using this plugin; https://twitter.com/thelionnews/status/461983061610356737

This tweet has a photo card attributed to the link included in it. As a result you will see the picture displayed in a large placeholder – this is very useful for making you tweets stand out.

There are many different types of cards, including App Card, which provide a direct install/open link for Android/iOS apps on the relevant devices, and Player Cards which display videos right in the tweet from services such as YouTube and Vimeo.

I hope this helps and I will be more than willing to answer and other questions you may have.

Thanks,
Harri Bell-Thomas

Additionally, to see all the types of Cards and what you can display with each, check out this infographic on this WPExplorer article.

Cool plugin! I’m interested in buying your plugin, but before that I’d like to ask one question regarding the Product Cards (I run a woocommerce site).

Do I have to set up meta tags for each product manually or your plugin will take care of it automatically? Because there’s hundreds of item in my store, and it’s quite hard to set them up one by one manually.

Can you tell me more about how your plugin handles Product Cards?

Default-user

Oh one more thing, do I have to download it now and update via WP dashboard or just wait for the updated version before downloading?

InfinityCode

Hello again,

Sorry for the delay – you should be able to update via the Wordpress dashboard now (the update to Envato’s servers are still pending).

You may see an error when trying to update – the PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) error specifically. This is new bug I’ve found and fixed in this latest version. If you experience this, then you will need to wait for the update to come through here on CodeCanyon.

When you get the updated version, be sure to turn on the ‘Use WooCommerce Price and Stock for Product Cards’ option on the General Settings dashboard to enable this new functionality.

As you are the first user of this new feature, any feedback would be great. If something isn’t working as expected, simply send me a message via my support forum and I’ll sort things out for you.

If you are pleased with my service and TCWP itself, then leaving a good rating would really help me out.

Thanks!
Harri

InfinityCode

The update is now live on Envato’s servers.

Hello TheyCallMeV,

TCWP doesn’t support the Website Card as this can’t be configured on a website directly. The only way to setup a website card is via Twitter’s Ads dashboard with paid advertising.

Quote – “You don’t need to add code to your website; simply create Cards via our Twitter Ads Dashboard and use them anywhere you make a tweet on Twitter.” (From https://dev.twitter.com/docs/cards under ‘Drive action from your tweets’)

Thank you for your interest though,
Harri

Question -

If I use an RSS syndication tool (e.g. Hootsuite) that sends my blog’s RSS to twitter, will those tweets show up with the twitter cards I set, or just as links?

My goal is to have an automated system where a new post is published to Twitter, and that those tweets have Expanded Photo tweets.

Thanks.

InfinityCode

Hello themvf,

As long as the tool includes the full URL of the post/page with the Twitter Card in the tweet, there should be no reason why the Card won’t show.

Please note that on a number of platforms, users have to click the ‘Show Card’ button (or users have to expand the tweet on mobile devices) to see the content of the card. This is Twitter’s policy.

Thanks for your interest, I will happy answer any further questions.
Harri

Demo is 404

InfinityCode

Thanks for the tip – I’ll try and get it back up ASAP.
Harri

Hi nice plugin but I’m having problems getting the Product meta to show on Woocommerce pages, it’s using default Summary with large image.

Fiddled around and I can’t work out how to make woocommerce pages call the twitter:product meta.

Here is a page you can see source http://androidizen.com/shop/asrock-z97e-itxac-high-end-z97-mini-itx-mb-boasts-2t2r-802-11ac-wifi-m-2-socket-and-sata-express-interface

Any ideas?

InfinityCode

Hello tellamedia,

I’m sorry you are having this problem. Could you send me a screenshot of what the blue TCWP box on that product page looks like? If there are predefined settings, they may be overriding defaults. Also, could you send a screenshot of the General tab of TCWP’s options.

It may be easiest to share screenshots if you make a ticket on my support forum (support.infinitycode.co.uk).

Thanks,
Harri

Hi team,

Live preview button doesn’t work (404 page)

Can you fix?

Regards, Igor

InfinityCode

Thanks for the heads up – it should be back up now.

Harri

Default-user

By the way, don’t see any live example. (:

InfinityCode

That’s because as TCWP is a completely backend plugin (nothing is visibly changed on the frontend), you’ll need to click the ‘Request Demo’ button in the top bar to generate an instance of the admin dashboard. You’ll be able to experiment and fiddle with the plugin from there.

Thanks for your interest,
Harri
