Do I need to have a CRON server support to make this plugin work?

GDragoN

Hi,

No. Plugin works with cron jobs registered within WordPress. You can use normal execution method built into WordPress, or external server based cron execution, it doeasn’t matter.

I am looking for something to fire off mysql queries/events/taks in a windows environment. Will this work for that?

No, this is a WordPress plugin.

Is this plugin replaces the work done by the hosting associated with cron?

For example, I use the plugin http://codecanyon.net/item/phpsfp-schedule-facebook-posts/5177393?WT.ac=solid_search_item&WT.seg_1=solid_search_item&WT.z_author=Litetech

Is this plugin will help?

Hi,

Nothing can replace reliability of server based cron. My plugin doesn’t add anything in this regard, and I don’t plan to add anything like that. My opinion is that everyone in need of cron should use server based cron and since it is very, very easy to setup, there is no need to re-invent the wheel with other solutions.

My plugin is useful in detecting source of cron jobs in WordPress, review each job, remove them or run manually.

Am i able to schedule a task like this?

Publish a pre-created page every friday. Unpublish that page the following saturday.

Hi,

No. Plugin can’t create jobs, it can manage existing jobs. Creating new jobs always involves custom code to handle the job.

Will this replace the CRON Jobs we create in a host server’s C-Panel ?

In other words, is this plugin a stand-alone CRON Job administrator tool ?

OR…

Will it display EXISTING CRON Jobs from the server /

This plugin shows, identifies and manages CRON jobs created inside WordPress by WordPress and plugins.
