wow amazing style & design luckykind, years back I wouldn’t believe that such an gorgeously designed image slider can be made with some JS, HTML & CSS … no doubt, I would think that this is flash.. JQuery is the new flash!

JS is definetely worth learning :D do you have maybe any recommendations for good books or tutorial blogs?

thanks in advance :)

If you know javascript or any even actionscript, jQuery isn’t too hard to pick up…

Other than the actual jQuery site… one of the sites I always seem to come back too is this:

http://www.learningjquery.com/

and Envatos jQuery for absolute beginners isn’t too bad itself if you need to really get started:

http://blog.themeforest.net/screencasts/jquery-for-absolute-beginners-video-series/

Overall, it’s fairly simple to learn if you have any background in scripting languages… Hope that helps, and thanks for the praise :)

You need to change the graphics & code first… but it can be done.

It’s not super hard if you know what you’re doing, but it’s not super easy if you don’t :)

Amazing, and really interesting….

Really want to purchase it :)

But before that, want to make sure here. Is it possible to add pagination (don’t know the correctly name) if we have more than 3 navigations?? At your example on “Slider 2” that you only have 3 navigation.

See another example from outside; http://www.mcfc.co.uk/ ~ on there, their featured slider have more than 3 navigations, right? and the user/visitor can controlling next navigation through bullets pagination under the sidebar navigation.

So is this possible to implementing the pagination to your script? let me know and can you help me for this? I really want use & purchase your script to my current project, honestly I only have VERY basic knowledge on JS :(

Looking forward from you ASAP . Thank you and keep up the good work.

PS: sorry for my English

Hi Milkyave,

To answer your question… pretty much what you see is what it does. The link you sent is very cool and I will look into seeing how I can expand on my item in the future to maybe add some extra features…

But for right now, it’s pretty much if it works for you how it is… great! If it’s something you want to expand on… you’ll need to know jQuery, HTML , CSS and probably a little Photoshop… I wish i could help or have the time to update this with features… however, I’m going through some family issues right now that’s taking a lot of my time away and I can only poke in here every so often to help… don’t have a lot of time for developing things right now… hoping that will change in the near future.

Probably not what you want to here… but I hope it helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

hi luckykind,

I’m back and gained interest since my last visit, I work on my own business website, a creative portfolio, and here for I have some more questions for your slider, I hope you don’t mind answering them :)

I prefer Slider 1

1. can I remove the panel with the message on it?

2. can the slider display more than 5 pictures? if yes, how many?

3. can I easily change the size of the slider? like 800px wide, cause my favor website is 800px wide, and your slider is the only thing that’s gonna be on the home with the menu

4. if no, do you release another slider for CodeCanyon? and maybe even a bigger one

I must say, you have one of the freshest styles here on envato.. but specially that slider is fresh as ice… NOT the same old game, like Arrow Right and Arrow Left… you changed the game

Hi DK, I wish my “fresh” style gained me more income :D I tend to start off doing what people want and then my A.D.D. kicks in and I go with something I like… :) Doesn’t always result in big sales… but somebody has to push the envelope… nonetheless, Thanks for the kind words…

As far as the sliders… I’m afraid I’m going to disappoint and pretty much what you see, is what you get… #1 can be done pretty easily done… but as far as adding more images, or expanding the sizes… it’s not done easily. This was a quick variation I did from some custom work for a client, and originally put it up a little after CodeCanyon started just to test the market…

Though I have had some positive feedback on the Sliders, especially #1… so I’m thinking about making a more easily expandable version(s) in the future. Though it might be another month or so as I’m working on finishing up a Wordpress template… I’ll keep you posted when I have more details.

Thanks again for the kind words! ;)

I understand… but yea #2 & #3 are the more important ones, I think it’s not a big seller because it’s limited to 5 different pictures and is too narrow, just my opinion, or People are just not yet ready for your new style and they like boring sliders more :nerdy:

check out this wide slider from Fubiz.net and I only mean the size, such a wide simple slider could fit a lot of websites… but it could be higher in height… in combination with your style and more images it would be killer

ow, and just an idea… you could also update this file with a Slider 3 that has more images and a wider display than the Slider 1

thanks for the very fast reply and keep me updated! I’m excited :)

don’t lose your style, keep it up!
