ok, investigation is done here are the results:
the only bug we found was related to the “role” modifying thing which we just fixed it. the bug was effecting user who use non-English characters.
I’ll send you the updated package and will submit an update here also. sorry for any inconvenience.
but regarding the other problems you mentioned, we were not able to duplicate them and I think that is happening because of how you updated your version.
please update your files like this: (my partner should write this instruction on the home page also. here it is now anyway for anyone else reading this…)
if you are installing a fresh version, please ignore the following!
but if you are updating your current version to the newer version, please make sure to create two new db tables named “wp_doitflashticket_jsonLanguage” with column names: id, jsonLanguage, jsonDefualtLanguage
and put the following value in fields: jsonLanguage and jsonDefualtLanguage
value for the id name should be “1”
and “wp_doitflashticket_moderatorRoles” with column names: id and name
value for the id name should be “1” and the following goes to field “name”
After this, upload all the new files you have downloaded from here to your wordpress plugin directory and it’s done.
for the future upgrades, we will make sure to include an auto updater file. This is a must and we will certainly do that.

Your plugin will not accept the captcha. I un-installed all other plugins—still it does not work. I am sure I am entering the code correctly yet I get this message over and over again: The security code entered was incorrect.
Also when I try to login, it will not accept my login info. It says: Please write your username Even though my username is entered.

Hi, would you please give me the link to your site that you have installed the plugin on? captcha code problem has nothing to do with the other plugins installed on your site… the captcha code was a free open source code and may have some issues with some servers…

Second thing is regarding custom formatting of create ticket form. When I turn off default formatting after each input field there are 4 new lines (using
tag). Could you please let me know how to get rid of it?
would you also please give us the address to your site that you have installed the plugin on? this problem has nothing to do with the other plugins installed on your site… the captcha code was a free open source code and may have some issues with some servers…
And about the shorcodes, as I said in help files, the shortcode may not sit pretty on all of the sites as the difference between the themes and css files that has been used inside the sites… so if you have turned off the default skin of the shorcodes and it’s not pretty and has some lines between forms like you have mentioned, just turn on the default skin of it… thanks a lot.

Hi, I have looked into your code, and found out you are using securimage for captcha. I have visited their site and downloaded a testing script. It shows what is missing for captcha to work. So If anyone has any problems with captcha in this plugin try this link http://www.phpcaptcha.org/faq/ and read the yellow frame on the top of the page.
Regarding styling I will try to modify your styling in child theme. Will see If I van make it look as I want.

Gentlemen—I need a support system I can rely on. Apparently not only does this plugin not work, but in some cases it WILL work for users with cookies turned on and sometimes it won’t work for users with cookies turned off. What? Am I suppoesed to put a note on my site telling my users to turn cookies on? Most of my customers do not know what a cookie is.
If this does NOT work without cookies you NEED to tell people in your sales description—and you NEED to test this before you sell it, on all browsers, with and without cookies, in all possible environments.
People, like me, rely on you to get it right—otherwise we lose business.
so, the cookies were the problem! damn! although cookies are almost activated but you’re right, not using them is a wise thing. we’ll make sure to get around that in the next coming update.

I downloaded your latest version that became available late Sunday night. I ran the test on my server and I got the smiley face telling me that my server indeed does have what it take to run captcha. Good News!
I installed your new version, and tested the plugin.
Again, after many tries I keep getting the same error message:
“The security code entered was incorrect.”
I have tried every way I can think of to get a ticket to enter properly—no good.

Hi, sorry for late reply, we were on a vacation… did you also check the plugin with other browser? did you also turned off caching cookies in your browser manually? maybe your browser dose not cache cookies and if it doesn’t then the login system cannot process correctly obviously…
After our update this is the first time that someone talks about captcha code or login errors again…

nope, not right now. users and admins can only reply to each other when they login to the system.

There is NO way to protect the plugin from non paid users. I thought it would connect to the WordPress user database for use. A poor purchase for my needs.
nope, as you can see in the preview, users can login to the system through the ticket system login page… not the original WP login system…
we thought it would be better for buyers to not to make the system work with the original WP login system, because most of the times the support pages are separate from the site itself and buyers don’t like their users to see some original WP settings when their users login and only like to send tickets and ask questions!!
sorry if we couldn’t explain what the use of the plugin is exactly or it misled you… thanks a lot for asking this, but what you’re saying is completely an other product that this system doesn’t support that. if you lie a system like that so that you can prevent the non paid users, etc… you can contact us through our profile page too, that’s really our pleasure to do it for you as a custom work.

there’s no option for this right now, we have done this to prevent spamming, because you may have lots of tickets each day and admins don’t like to spam their emails with tons of emails each day, so only “Very High” priority tickets will be sent to admins emails… but if you like to add this option for yourself, contact us from our profile page for more details, we can do this specifically for you too

Actually this is the first time that someone reports such an error… index.php file is also in the include folder of the plugin… there’s nothing to do with it… please make sure you’re uploading the correct and original files of the plugin from the package and also read the installation help files completely and try to install the plugin again… there’s shouldn’t actually be any problem

Hi Ali, We are a php company and know how to install the plugin for sure and create a new one.
the issue i mentioned was occurred when try to include wordpress into another system for example in the root wordpress folder make a php file for example phpzerocode.php and put this code inside it
<?php require(‘wp-load.php’); ?>
then just visit the file directly from your browser and you will see the issue which i mentioned and also will print other index contents.

Automated e-mails doesn’t show my language special characters correctly. I checked MySQL plugin tables and it uses utf8.
Can you please check if code page can be set to utf8 in e-mail operations?

We have tested it and also send emails to users and admins in utf8 format, it actually doesn’t have anything to do with the ticket system itself, it depends on the user’s mail server who receives the email which most of the mail servers support utf8… if the user’s mail server who receives the email doesn’t support utf8 then he cannot see the email correctly…

I’m really disappointed that this plugin doesn’t use the standard wordpress users system. I’ll also explain why:
I have a website and I offer a few services. I also offer support for those services. Now, in order for my clients to reach the ticketing system they have to login on their wordpress account, and then on the ticket system. Two login screens is a bit much.
Also why in the world there isn’t a register user form? Now I have on my ‘client page’ the ‘post a ticket form’ for those users without an account and also a login form for those who want to check their tickets. It’s really confusing for the users. Usability = 0.
I should be able to only show a register / login form.
if we have created the login system with the WP system itself then your users could see the WP environment and most of the people don’t like to show that to their clients because the clients who post ticket just want to post a ticket and discuss about the questions that they have! they don’t want to see the wordpress environmen and stuff for posting a ticket, that not only confuses the users but also it’s not good for you yourself as an admin that like to support your clients.
if you check other support plugins are also like this, also most of the sites use another login system for their support center, and that’s because of all of the reasons that I have explained, we just wanted the plugin to be more useful for much more people
but if you really want your users to just login to your wordpress site and also post a ticket from there too, then we can for sure do it for you as a custom work, just contact us through our profile page, we would be really happy to be a help as always.
Also about the registration for users, as soon as a new user posts a ticket for the first time, he also automatically will be registered and his username and password will be emailed to him… we have done that fro being much more user friendly
