I’ve tried it with a database with thousands of records no problem. One thing to keep in mind is that if you have a ton of tables the tabs will wrap around, other than that I’ve had no issues.

Thanks! I developed it to be as easy to install and useful as possible, it started as an in house project to write less backend code and I figured why not package it up and distribute it.

Regarding the IDs, can I use an ID such as ‘Email Address’ instead of email_address?

And one other thing… is it possible to have data imported via a CSV file?

I’ve honestly never considered putting spaces in column names in my database tables, I always assumed it wasn’t accepted… How the query strings are built, I do not believe they will work with spaces in your column names in this application, unless you were to manually go through and put backticks around the table names in the script.

As for CSV importing, this script doesn’t handle that functionality in this version, although that is one of the features we’re planning on releasing in a future version.

It’s great. Very simple and maybe that is how it should stay… However, I added TinyMCE editor to it and it really could become a fantastic one page CMS . A few things you could look at if you have the time!

Sortable Headings
Filter & Search
JQuery (DataGrid & Edit In Place)
Some type of Validation where Not-Null fileds cannot be entered as blank records.
Layout seems to be compromised when there are a lot of tables in the DB
Import / Export Options

You can either make the width of your layout bigger, blacklist some of the tables you don’t want to use, or do a scroll:auto on the navigation bar using css, and it would get a scrolling bar beneath it.

Using whatever tool you create your database tables with, like phpMyAdmin, you can run an import. Otherwise, RenownedDatabase does not support this functionality in the current version. If we get enough demand this may be implemented.
