Hi Toan, I set up this plugin on a client’s site a couple of weeks ago and it looks good. I have two things I really want it to be able to do but not sure if its possible.

1) Can non registered users submit forms too? I basically want the create ticket form to replace the contact form on the site so every time someone sends a message it’s all manageable from with PressTicket. I really hope we can do this otherwise I’ve bought the wrong plugin and need sometime suitable :(

2) Can you remove some of the fields from the form, i.e ‘department’ and ‘priority’ with ease?

Unfortunately, plugin does not support none registered :) the user must register, this is the work.

About removing the field, I don’t recommend you but if you still want the change, send me your email address via my profile page, I will send update files.

How do I remove the upload buttons, I already disabled in the configurations, but the button is appearing yet.

This button would help me a lot if not show all my files.

Hi, In Backend, its not available to disable Upload files button function, its the capabilities.

I think you have 2 options to disable this button.

1. Open /pressticket/functions/functions.php Find (line 9)
'media_buttons' => $media,
Replace by
'media_buttons' => false,

2. Only display owner media files: this is noted in plugin document, use this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/view-own-posts-media-only/

Very good plugin! I got everything working well, except for this:

When I go to the page to view a specific ticket (http://mydomain.com/helpdesk/test-ticket), the page shows a blog excerpt (with ticket details) above the actual ticket. How can I get rid of that excerpt?

2. Then you will see pressticket folder inside it.

Help Topic Display Issue

I just purchased your plugin and everything is running perfect except the Help Topics. Once I create a new department and add the different help topics for that department and save it everything seems to be okay, but its not! When I go back in to edit that same department it shows 5 help topic boxes because that is the number of help topics I put in for that department but, there is no text or value showing up inside of the boxes. So I have tried editing the name of the help topic boxes and re-saving but it does not fix the problem. I even tried to see if they would display in the form in the front end and all that happen is a box drops down like there is 5 topics in the box but there is no visible text. What can I do to resolve this issue?

OK so I got the help topics to show up on the front end form but still when I go to the back end to edit a department the five help topic boxes are there but the text/ labels are not visible? ALSO none of the task tickets that are created are given a Ticket ID/ Ticket Number and I can not figure out why?

The label is not show when edit/update the department, just click on + icon to expand the box, its here.

The Ticket Number is a string in automatically.

About the notification, I think you didn’t assign the Staff to department, I suggest you update the department, and choose the support staff, something similar like this http://puu.sh/7s054.png

Find
$headers .= "Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1\r\n";
Replace by
$headers .= "Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8";

I have installed your plugin on my site and also on a client’s website. When I attempt to submit the ticket from the client’s website, I get a message beside the submit button that reads null. The ticket doesn’t submit, either.

So, I am wondering if the server settings aren’t right… your doc says it should have CURL / ZIP. My host didn’t know what you meant by “zip” but offered this, is this what you were referring to: http://kb.site5.com/others/how-to-enable-basic-compression-for-your-website/

Also, if this is what you meant, how would you suggest this be done?

Also, does the client site also have to have ZIP/compression or just our main site?

and your client hosting must support CURL, most of hosting is supported this.

I have used the users API (given at my main site) and also entered it on the client site. Does it matter if the name/email match on both sites? Once the API is entered for one member (on client site) does a new one need to be entered for any additional users on client site?

Is it possible to set permission like that ? Only verified buyers get access to create tickets.

Hi. Thanks for the last reply, and I have one more question. Is it possible to hide the media files from users uploading/attaching documents to a ticket? I don’t want User A to be able to see previously uploaded files of other users, say User B, User C, etc. Essentially, I want to hide the media media library and only allow a user to browse for and attach files from their local machine.
