I do really believed that the plugin is not counting some posts on my website after I’ve been using and installing the latest version for 5 days continuously. In my website (http://www.appdisqus.com), you could notice that I’ve also installed the wp-postview just for the post hits purpose and to cross check with your plugin. I found that your plugin doesn’t index many of my posts so it turns out that many of post with many hits will not and never appear on the widget side bar. I’ve checked wp-postview hits with google analytics and they both share the almost same number of hits for each post.
I’m not really sure what happens here. Not sure if it is related to the W3 Total Cache plugin. What I do really sure is the plugin widget is not showing or, in worst case, not indexing some of my posts which has more page views and is supposed to be on top 5 than some posts there at the moment. I’ve tried setting the cache of the widget to 3 hours and also play with disable widget caching as well but it is still not working correctly.
Please kindly help me diagnose the possibility here for the solution.

faelsoto, I don’t mean to be rude. What my intend is just asking to be heard about any remedies that could cure the problem happens on my website along with your plugin. Apparently, there’s something wrong with the plugin or some conflict that I, personally, would be difficult to diagnose so I try contacting the plugin author for the support. And it’s been almost 4 days from my request and I heard almost nothing from you. This is why I have to come back to ask for any update news that might fix my problem.
I’m not being rude, however; if you do at least updates me from time to time, which doesn’t mean it need to be everyday, I would be acknowledged that you are still investigating my problem, not abandoning it already.
If it is not because I’m buying the support, I would not buy your plugin the first place when there is also nrelated plugin available for free and could do almost exactly as your plugin does!
I think I nailed, I’ll be working on the fix. I’ll let you know when it’s fixed.

The plugin has two widgets: the popular posts bars and the most viewed bars, the first one ranks your posts by comments, the second one by views.
Yes, the widgets will count just as you say, however, it would be very inconvenient to set a time lapse of two dates (March 1st – March 15th), because if today is March 16th, you’ll have to manually update it.
That’s why you set a time lapse, starting from the exact moment and substracting a custom lapse (-7 days, -2 weeks, -1 month, etc).
The responsiveness of this widget depends on how your theme handles it, check out our live demo and resize your browser window.

I’ve been looking for a plugin for my website which will give me the total view/comment count for posts made within a certain week – a weekly count.
So for example if in week 1 (Day 1 – Monday to Day 7 – Sunday) a post is made – I want the plugin to count all the views and comments made for the post that was posted in week 1.
Now, in week 2, when I set the plugin to count, will it only count views of each post (whether posted within week 2 or before week 2) or will it simply display views of posts strictly made within week 2 (if this second option is not currently a function of your plugin, can the plugin be modified to enable to do so?)

Yes, it is possible to modify it, altough you’ll need to know some basic PHP and Mysql.
I love this plugin… my only problem is that some very old post got hundreds of views in one day…. so there is anyway to add some code or something to show only posts for the month or week? It’s very annoying because shows old post all the time… and I can erase those post because you know that give you visits and new users…

Jetpack is a built in wordpress.com platform which offers things only available to wordpress.com users. Wordpress stats is one of the perks. This is wordpress’ own view counter. You should check it out.
Is there a certain spot in your plugin code where the view counter is? I’m not sure where I should try to insert the jetpack view counter.

Hello, I’m having kind of the same problem has Aekio, it only counted 1 view on a page, but my site had 200 views today , and yesterday I had 300 views, I turned off the caching option since I thought maybe I was having caching problems, but that didn’t do anything … Pluging only shows 1 view … Please advise , thank you my site www.greenieproducts.com
Ahhh nvm lol after reading some other comments, I realized that I had the wrong widget activated … didn’t notice that there were 2 widgets

There’s no caching folder, the plugin stores the temporary info via the WP’s functions, which are stored in a database, I think.
Please try decreasing the cache time to a few minutes and have some patience, I can assure you it works.

There is no easy way to do so, each view is inserted in the database with the post_ID and the date, if you want to set a starting point, you’ll have to do these inserts manually.
About the other plugin, I’m afraid that the integrations with other plugins are not recommended, as they do not posses the same information required to do so. If you insist, I’m afraid you’ll have to figure it out by yourself.

Both these tweaks can be achieved by editing the CSS file, the plugin provides an option to set a class to each one of the bars, from where you can set the color and aligning that matches your needs.

Purchased and love but if your site has any sort of traffic the file on the database gets HUGE. 1GB huge. Hope they can fix this. Had to turn it off for now. Works great though.

It would be possible to hack the script, altough since WP doesn’t provide a structure for that information, you’ll have to parse through the contents to find the first image tag. And that image might not be square, so it will look horrible.

i got it today… so it WONT get the stats from yesterday if i choose for a week right?..
this plugin use his own counting if i understand right… ? its auto delete stats from past most if a new begin, or i have to do manually clear db tables every time?
You don’t have to add a dash, since it’s already the past. Since the week starts on sunday, you’ll still get yesterday’s views.
Also, yes, the plugin must use its own count table. You’ll have to manually delete the older entries.
