does this have a log in system for users? I ask because a lot of users have profile images?
I have installed this widget and everything is working except for the emails. Neither the commenter nor the moderator is receiving any emails. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help in fixing this issue would be appreciated.
i also installed the widget and it all works except for receiving any emails. the site i installed it on is hosted at godaddy and i did a test and put it on another site which is hosted at 1and1.com – i instantly got an email. Which means something is up with godaddy.
i did notice that there is a file named webformmailer.php on the godaddy server which i can’t seem to delete or open in any way. could this have something to do with the email issue???
i’d like to make this work…..any help would be great, thanks
i just called godaddy and they tried the comment form and i never got an email – the only things they offered was:
If you use the mail() function in your PHP , you do not need to specify an outgoing mail server. If you are using some other method besides mail() in your PHP code, use relay-hosting.secureserver.net for your relay server.
i have no idea if this actually even applies to this.
At this point i can only put to automatically accept comments and then i have to tell my client to go to his webpage daily to make sure no one left anything he doesn’t want. not cool.
any suggestions dave?
do you have one with a database and/or can you have it work with a db ? Tnx !!
Hello,
I installed your script and when I go to post a comment I get a blank screen.
I have a new dedicated server with php 5.2
I have purchased your script over year ago. It worked fine until since 3 days I can’t manage comments. When I go to admin page and click on a link to view and manage comments then I am automatic logouted. I have nothing changed in script. How to fix it?

Hello,
Great work on this script, thank you!
But is there a way to put the form field at the top of the page?
Greetings,
mmhh, I didn’t send a support ticket. Anyway I found a solution by putting an ancor link to points on the field form at the bottom of the page :/ .
Is there a way to have pagination page? I have many comments and the page begins to be long.
Greeings,
Where do I change font color?
This will be controlled in the CSS .
Please use firebug for firefox or google chrome inspector, right click on the text you wish to change and “inspect element”. This will show you which CSS is controlling the font color, and where to change it.
It could be some CSS from your existing website, or some CSS in the simple comments script.
If you need further assistance please submit a support ticket to our support website located here: http://support.dtbaker.com.au please include a link to your website and which font you would like to adjust.

Good work. Have a question. How do I place a default value into a text input field?
Hi
Nevermind, I figured it out.
This comment script looks good and the demo seems great. It would have been 10 times better if it were written to accommodate MySql data storage. The reply’s just keep moving to the right 20px until they have to jump back over making the comments display wrong. As you may have read in many of the comments there is little documentation and when you PM the developer you seldom get a response. I wish I would have kept my $5 bucks and just installed commentics right from the start. That script is way way better and free! I wish simple website comments could have worked for me, the css is nice.
Hi is it possible to put a background image behind the comments form, eg. I want to style the form to look like a postcard.
Thanks.
Thanks, I should be able to do that then. As long as it would be controlled in the html/css side and not the php as I have limited knowledge there. Im looking into a few solutions at the moment, your quick response moves this one to the top of the list at the moment, cheers.
Hi dtbaker,
I’ve bought and installed the script, so far so good, just wondering is there a way to put the input field at the top and have the comments appear underneath? I will keep trying myself if I find a solution I will reply to this post with solved if you havn’t got back to me yet.
Thanks!

I purchased your “Simple Website Comments” system yesterday on the Themeforest.net web site. Item Purchase Code: 77e1c0a2-1bcc-41b0-87d6-a8f859a823c3.
I followed the steps from setting up my username and password offline then uploading widget-comments.php code to my server. The problem that I am having afters I upload the code to my server then log in to the system, I am not able to view or click on any of the links below the text.
At first I thought this may be my browser, but after viewing the system in IE,Chrome, Safari and Mozilla it still does not show a button or link.
I look forward to your assistance.

out of space on your hosting account maybe?
permissions are changed on the comments directory (may happen after a web server backup) try setting the permissions again so php has write access.
the quickest solution would be to email your hosting provider with a link so they can see the problem, they will be able to look at the server logs and find out quickly what the actual problem is rather than me guessing.
