If I buy the script you offer free update with some fix bugs???
dtbakersays
@drexmaster, yes as with all items, once purchased you will have free upgrades forever.
I’ve had reports this does work on IIS + PHP5 . But if you get an error please contact me through my profile and I will help you fix it up. No probs.

would like to buy this script but only one thing is stoping me from doing it.
I need it for Hebrew language and my emails will be in hebrew.
Now everything works fine in demo instead of Email Subject.
The email Subject i get in my email is in gibberish. like that:
יך ×œ×‘× ×•×ª × ×ª×¨ × ×™× ×˜×¨× ×˜ תוך 10 דקות
it is not recognizing the Hebrew in subject when sending it from your system. i know that it can be fixed. but don’t want to buy the script and get pain to to search the fix for it.
Can you fix it ?
Thank you.

dtbaker :
i think it has something to do with database. try to change email subject field to Unicode in phpmyadmin.
Lets see if it works. i think this is the issue.

I’m very tempted to buy this (and most likely will for the price) but my only reservation is how compatible are the newsletters produced with the popular email clients? I know newsletters are a tricky thing to begin with and it’s all up to the designer to produce something that’s solid, but since this gives some automation (inline styles) I guess I was hoping the tools provided will be of value for this end goal? Too bad there is no way to test newsletters on different systems without installing software (i.e. outlook, mac mail, aol, etc.) or creating accounts everywhere…
This looks very promising though.

import member list from a CSV file or just text email list is must thing !
dtbakersays
If you stick to inline styles, use old html tags (like < font size=”” color=”” > < td bgcolor=”” > ) and try not to use paddings/margins then you will have the most multi-client email rendering success.
To achieve paddings/margins try to use table cell width’s like < td width=”5” > to space content out. I have found this to be the most supported way.
The two basic templates that come with this system display just fine in a range of mail clients, so you can use them as a basis when creating your own.
Next release will have an automatic “view this newsletter online” link to cover the odd case your newsletter is not rendered correctly in a mail client.

Thanks for following up.
Next release will have an automatic “view this newsletter online” link to >cover the odd case your newsletter is not rendered correctly in a mail client.
How will that differ than the current preview in browser feature? Can you pls explain, I’m not clear on that upcoming feature.
Thanks again
Hi franki,
The “view newsletter online” link will (optionally) appear at the very top of every outgoing email. So that the receiver can view the newsletter in a web browser.
When the receiver clicks this link, it will open up a html view of the newsletter, similar to the current “preview in browser” function that the admin can use.

hi dtbaker, this seems to be a great tool! i try to find something like that for some of my clients. in germany we need to have double opt-in before registration. do you have an idea about when you will implement it? is there any chance for this year?

New features are coming along nicely, should have a mini update ready this weekend. When I hit 60 sales I will put more effort into getting more features completed nicely. Really busy with work right now. Feel free to buy the item a second time to help reach this goal

I seem to have a problem that’s fairly odd…
I set everything up properly using my correct hostname, username, password, SMTP details and so forth…
Now when I clicked on the continue button to automatically load the db, i’m getting this error:
“Access denied for user ‘username’@’servername.hostingcompany.com’ (using password: YES )”
I have of course edited out the actual MySQL username, but you get the idea of what the error means…
Another strange thing I ran into is that when I started digging around to try and find the problem, I found the file “admin.php” and typed the location in my browser to view it… Rather than being an administration panel for the newsletter system… It was an administration panel for your rating system!
Odd indeed.
Any ideas what went wrong?
Haha odd indeed, did build this rather quickly so must have accidentally added that file to the zip. You can safely delete it
It’ll be removed from the next version.
90% of the time you will use “localhost” for the mysql database server name (where you have servername.hostingcompany.com). Did they specifically tell you to use a custom mysql host name? Have you tried it with “localhost” instead?
Send me a message through my profile and I can help you out / check out a screenshot of your database config to see where the issue is.
Thanks,
dtbaker

This looks fantastic, question before I buy it: will it work on a wordpress site? I’m a little new at this…would need your instructions on how to implement that.
Also, is there a limit to the number of recipients you can have on your list?

Thanks so much for the help man!
I will definitely be purchasing other scripts from you because of the level of dedication to satisfaction you seem to have. You didn’t have to do all of that work you did to help me get it working, but I certainly appreciate it and can’t thank you enough!
