Newsletter Mailer v1.3

I downloaded the software again (but my main question was: How do I know this is the latest version? The title shows “v.1.3” but the last update shows “v.1.8”). If I’m downloading the “latest” version, it would be less confusing to change the version number to the latest version release.

To update, I followed the instructions as provided: I removed the “app/config” folder and uploaded the other folders and files. Is that correct?

how is possible for user to unsubscribe?

Correction: I just purchased another copy and it shows that I bought “v1.3” instead of “v1.38”, which is your latest release. Is the downloaded copy the latest version?

Also, I had noticed on one of the template examples where it shows a link for “Forward to Friends” or something to that effect. How do you do that? The documentation does not explain how to include the code that would allow receivers to forward to others.

Thank you for your help thus far and the clarification.

I just need one last help with SMTP and the Inbox: For the life of me I can get SMTP nor the Inbox to work. I have tried every possible setting and all I get are errors that I understand.

One error is: Inbox: Failed ESMTP Exim 4.77 #2 Mon, 21 May 2012 14:13:26 -0700 SMTP : Failed Failed to authenticate on SMTP server with username “xxxx@domain.com” using 2 possible authenticators

Sorry, got it working with Port 25 for the SMTP without auth. I need only to figure out why the Inbox is not working.

In the near future can the creating email campaign process be made a little simpler than the current one. The process can be like the user selects the newsletter type : HTML , TEXT or Both and then he get the option to either use in built templates or use blank template where user has WYSIWYG editor option. The option for title and all are making it a little complex to understand.

how to send rss feed newsletter? ich kriege es irrgendwie nicht, wie das gehen soll? kann man mehrere unterschiedliche rss feed channel benutzen?

Is it possible to make alternating articles? For instance, first article has image on right, second on left, third on right again, etc…?

Can we get documentation or a video on how to integrate the API signup box into another website’s webpage (IE – different from where the script is originally installed) ?

Where exactly do I place these two PHP files?

And what needs to be done with them? Are there any alterations?

And how do I place the API onto a web page?

How do I test them?

Will these files work with three versions 1.25, 1.307, and 1.38?
