excellent app. excellent support.
cheers!
Is there a way to make this not conflict with other jQuery things? Right now, it’s breaking all my other jQuery code on the page (lightbox, cycle, and twitter plugins).
It shouldn’t. Please contact me via my profile page if you are still having this problem.
can this work with wordpress?
It is not a wordpress plugin, but you are free to use it with wordpress.
can this pull mp3 files from multiple folders for example there is one player on a product page that plays all the songs on the cd that pulls the mp3s from a folder. Then I have another page with with this mp3 player and it can pull the songs from a different folder? Does this player automatically generate a playlist file?
You must manually specify the playlist with locations to each of the mp3 (and ogg) files that you plan to use. However, this does not mean that you can’t pull mp3s from different folders (as long as they reside on your server).
Hi there!
Firstly can I say that’s an awesome app, hats off!
Just wondering is there a way to incorporate this into a section of my page? I don’t want it taking up the full screen.
Cheers, Joey
Its certainly possible, but you would have to make some minor modifications.
Basically I’m just looking for an mp3 playlist player that will play in newer HTML5 browsers, iPads and older IE-type browsers
I just need to insert it somewhere in the middle of my website without it taking up the whole page.
And I would like to be able to display a different track image depending on the track selected.
In a nutshell, I guess I’m looking for just a simple playlist with the usual controls, track names, and image. And it works on everything.
Could you help with me with this? There’s a site I need this for that’ quite urgent.
Thanks so much!
I’ve found another player http://www.happyworm.com/jquery/jplayer/
But this won’t work on older IE browsers. And I don’t think it supports custom image for individual tracks.
Any help would be much appreciated
Please email me via my profile page if you would like to discuss custom work.
I am having no luck getting this to work. I first thought my download might be corrupted, so I re-downloaded with a couple browsers to no avail. Your documentation only shows up with 4 pages. Is this correct, or is it missing stuff?
Anyways…even when I don’t change anything at all, and I just open the main index.php file in my browser, it will not load the mp3/ogg provided with the code. It just says ‘Loading Playlist’. When I click on the ‘Thumb Wall’ or ‘List’ buttons, I get some ’?>’ tags showing up, which leads me to believe the php is either corrupted, or somehow miscoded. I’m thinking it has something to do with the class getting passed.
Any ideas as to what may be going on?
Thanks in advance!
Elliott
I have a few ideas, please email me via my profile page and I will do my best to help.
I figured out the problem. It was a permissions issue. I had to CHMOD 755 recursively. If anyone is having the same problem, wants to design locally in MAMP (which is what I’m doing), but doesn’t know Terminal commands to change permissions, then search for BatChmod. Terminal GUI that makes life easy!
BTW ! Great support from the developer. Immediate response!!
It looks awesome!
I’m just wondering how will the “list” and “thumb wall” look like if I add over a million songs…
Will I end up with one long page?
Will it allow me to creat categories such as hip hop and r&b and sort them accordantly?
Thanks!
You would need to add that functionality. Its currently a very simple app. Thanks.
How do I make the thumb wall the default page? How do I make it auto play?
Thanks!
I can’t seem to get the “live demo” to work on my iPhone (2g) via wifi…
It loads all of the assets but it doesn’t play the music. and it also gets all tripped up when you rotate the device or more accurately just the play bar gets tripped up (not anchoring to the bottom)
is anyone else able to get it to work in their iPhones?
I would love to get something that works as a playlist for iPhones and handhelds for my site.
thanks
first thing first …it looks great and my test ride was cool. But we all know the real use of having this in HTML5 as opposed to a flash player comes down to the fact that iphone and ipad’s and any any other gadget apple comes out with will not use FLASH , so the question is how does this app work on iphones and ipads, its strengths and weakness, this is very important to all buyers because, 99% of us are buying it for that purpose, so we need you to tell us about its result when viewed on a iphone and ipad….. and what plans you have on upgrades, and is there a more smaller version coming soon, you tapped into an area that can generate real income, dont lose the momentum, or the next builder on active den will take your thoughts and run with it, trust me I work with the mobile industry you got something, you just need to research the users need and you on your way to large sales, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT .
looks awesome!
any way to enable standard view to be thumbnail view??
Great looking app.! I am a pastor and would like to buy this and insert it into my churches website for the purpose of inserting sermons. I create custom graphics for each sermon series and would use those for the album cover. My question:
If I purchase this module, will I be able to drop this into a page and accomplish what I mentioned above?
Thanks, keep up the good work, and God bless you!
Mark http://www.impactrock.com
Yes, but it is important to remember that you will need mp3 and ogg files for each sermon since this is an html5 app. Please email me via my profile page if you have any more questions.
Thanks.
Hey, how do I make the thumb wall the default page and auto play?
Thanks!
Isn’t uploading music to the web illegal?
How can you do it so you don’t get into any trouble?
Great app! 2 quick questions:
1. is there a way to add a simple volume control?
2. The PLAY /FWW/RWD button are all CSS3 – sometimes they don’t display properly in the various browsers/operating systems – can these be regular images (say via background images) in the CSS file?
Thanks for your support…
1. Its possible with a little bit of work. Please email via my profile page and I will point you in the right direction.
2. Yes, the app uses css3 and is imageless. Of course you can add images in the css. Its just a matter of modifying the stylesheet….
To make the default page the thumbwall, open up index.php and change line 77 to <?php $class = “thumb-wall”; ?>
..playing around with this script, so far so good. Great job.
Great application…...you got the lead. very clear and user friendly, only question I have is what should we do about the player bar not anchoring to the bottom when place in landscape style on iphone 3 or 4 and ipads, I would settle for a line of code that will prevent it from going landscape if their is no solution, but I hope there is, cause it kills all the greatness that comes packed in this application site….once again truly great work.. and thank you for the previous help in my earlier questions
I responded to your email. Thanks.
Hello. I am building a basic (atleast at this time) site, which is basically a youtube.com, or say a vbox7.com copy, with the only difference that it’s going to play audio files only. While searching google for cool JS html5 audio player that would hide the ugly, buggy default players, I found this one and a few more.
My question is: Is this going to get frequent updates, because if I stick to it, it will be “forever”, or at least ultil i choose to quit ;]
One more – I read that it needs both mp3 and ogg files. Because of how the website I’m building works, it won’t be able to provide both files right now (that’s until i figure how to make auto conversions), and Firefox doesn’t play mp3 in html5 natively. Does that mean that your player goes to flash-fallback? And if, say, you open a page in chrome, but there’s only ogg or mp3 source file, will it play it using html5 audio?
The option of reading metadata would nicely replace my existing php class that gets whole mp3 metadata (and fails sometimes) – so is yours able to get duration, bit rate, artist, album, track name etc – which would be pretty nice for auto-filling forms?
I hope long questions don’t look scary to you
Thanks in advance ;]
Please send me an email via my profile page to discuss.
If im correct, this uses jplayer.
Jplayer can be set to only use mp3, is this not true for your script?
As stated in the description, my application requires mp3 and ogg files to work.
Please email me via my profile page if you have any other questions.
Thanks.
Can I have an unlimited amount of songs on this?
Yep.
100th Sale (; I have a problem, I stuck on around 219 songs and the thing is, it’s stuck on this screen http://www.music.ritdesign.com/ It just says ‘Loading Playlist’ Help! Please. (PS I have already tried setting file perms to 755.)
Please contact me via my profile page for support. Thanks.
