Hi, nevermine, after the night of sleep after wake up the script is working with changing anything lol

Works on HTML page?

ATLChris

The form requires server-side scripting via php.

Hi, one question.

Which lines of code from detect.php file do I have to eliminate in order to not use the cookie function?

thanks for your help, cheers,

ATLChris

I am happy to announce that v1.5 has been submitted for approval. This new version allows you to switch between intelligent forwarding and continuous (no cookie) forwarding. The update should be live shortly.

It seems like the script only redirect you one, after that if you come back to the original web address it doesn’t redirect anymore. You need to clean the cookie on the browser to make work but again it only redirect once.

ATLChris

This is correct, but let me clear something up. Yes, the script only forwards you once, but this is once per session. The cookie auto clears after the session is cleared. This is standard practice. I do have an update on the road map that will allow the user to trigger “1 Forward per session” or “always forward”.

The reason it was originally designed this way, was so that users could provide link back to the main site for browsing.

Is there any way to make this always send to mobile? My phone is not clearing anything… It works one time then will not work again unless manually cleared?

Please let me know.

In the comment above the last you wrote: Yes, the script only forwards you once, but this is once per session. The cookie auto clears after the session is cleared. This is standard practice. A normal mobile visitor will not know to clear anything to view the mobile site… seems useless for directing people to your mobile website more than 1 time.

ATLChris

Unfortunately, different browsers and different OS’s handle session differently. I am sorry you are having issues with your S3 Android phone.

Please stay tuned. I am releasing an update shortly what will allow you to toggle forwarding.

Does this script support same page URL switching, for example: If I enter a site via “example.com/services.php” can I have it redirect to “mobile.example.com/services.php” instead of to the home page, and make do that for every page on the site?

ATLChris

In its current state, you would have to do this manually by setting the url variables on each page. I am working on this feature for a future update.

Hello,

Is it possible to save the results in a database so i can show it in some dashboard this way?

Mobile 20% | Tablet 10% | Desktop PC 70%

And

IOS 60% | Andriod 30% | Windows mobile 10% etc

ATLChris

Anything is possible, but you would have to have a strong working knowledge of PHP to customize it to that degree, but no it is not built in.

Hi ATLChris, what the change of update, after i do the update last couple days its dont work anymore, any idea ? Thanks

ATLChris

I need more information on what isn’t work. Maybe a URL? Send me a private message so I can look at your configuration file.

I’m trying to configure so it shows the mobile version of my site when I visit my site using ipad portrait mode but the desktop version of my site when visit using ipad landscape mode. Is there any way to do this? Right now either both go to mobile or both go to desktop depending on my configuration, I cannot seperate the two.

Best,

ATLChris

No, this is not possible with this script. That would require some front-end JS coding to determine the portrait/landscape mode. This script only analyzes the device via back-end code.

IS your new versions out ?
