Hi Pixelworkshop,

very nice menu i like it! I use the megamenu_push a i have an issue with the

  • . It seems i have to hover the mouse for about 0.5s and THEN press the lmb for a link to work (after providing a link to it and not ”#”). If i click instantly on the button the link does not work. I even haved removed the background-color transition effect without any success.

    What else can i do to make that button working?

    Regards, Mike

    Hi I want to purchase the menu but can you tell me if I am able to change the colour easily and also the width of the menu?

    Pixelworkshop

    Hello, all these changes must be done in the CSS. I usually recommend to have at least some basic experience / knowledge with CSS, otherwise it can be a bit difficult. But the general usage of the menu requires to know at least some HTML and CSS.

    Default-user

    ok perfect i’ve got experience with html/css so I will be able to modify it :)

    Is it possible to put a link on the top level and make it so it you have to click twice to follow the link on a touch device? It seems that currently if there is an anchor tag at the top level of the menu, it doesn’t work properly on a iPhone / iPad…

    Pixelworkshop

    Hello, I don’t think that it’s possible, double clicks are not an event that can be used on links. I can’t certify but I’m almost sure about that. So if you have drop downs, the parent can’t be at the same time a link poiting to another page.

    Hi!

    We add your script to our corporate website: http://www.swissinfo.ch/

    I’ve an issue with the submenu (in Topics): Depending the way how you like a page, facebook read the page from top to bottom and add the first image and text from the submenu instead the real main text down.

    It is a simple way how output the submenu (Topics, In Depth) code in footer and display it on the top for the human eyes in your script as it is now?

    Thx in advance for your feedbacks. Regards, Dom

    Hey Pixelworkshop,

    the Megamenu doesen’t work for me on mobile screens with max-width: 767px:

    I have used the most simple example from the documenatation: http://share-me.de/menu/test.html

    Your 12 examples-files work fine but the simple examples fail and the the menu is only a thin grey line.

    Pixelworkshop

    Hello, so you should start with one of the HTML files provided then.

    Amazing job on the update, and thank you so much for the mobile version addition! Is there any way to add css3 transitions to the expansion of containers?

    Pixelworkshop

    Hello, do you mean transitions on mobile devices ? I’ve disabled jquery effects on mobiles because on many devices the animations are not smooth.

    Hi Can I dot his,so far it doesnt work just shows all the list I put this menu(Responsive Searchable 3 Level Accordion For Wordpress) which i got here in a widget and added it to megamenu but the menu doesnt collapse it shows all the items and as i have hundreds, i would like it to collapse

    ps I see the menu has been updated here, is there any way I can find out about updates without logging in here How do I update as i have custom css

    Thanks Rod

    Pixelworkshop

    Hello, I’m sorry but I don’t understand the first sentence at all… To get updates, there’s no other way than coming to Codecanyon and see if there’s a new version. However, a new system has been set up so now in your downloads page you have a checkbox for each item and you can tick it to get an email if the product has been updated.

    The last update brought quite a few changes so you’ll have to go through the whole CSS to apply the changes you’ve made. I know it’s a pain but I had to make those modifications to improve the menu.

    ok i have a vertical wordpress menu I use in the sidebars widgets which is this one (Responsive Searchable 3 Level Accordion For Wordpress) and the menu works

    When I put that widget in the mega menu it shows all the items and does not work as it does in the sidebars

    Pixelworkshop

    Ok so it’s most probably caused by CSS conflicts. Can you send me a live demo URL from my profile page ? Thanks !

    Hi, is it possible to have a three tier menu ie: top main nav, then submenu (always visible) and then the mega menu drops down from the sub menu? Thanks, Gayle

    Pixelworkshop

    Hello, I guess that it would require quite a lot of modifications… It is possible but you’ll need to go through all the HTML, CSS markup to make the necessary changes (and probably some customizations in the script).

    I’m trying to figure out how to include the menu on all the webpages of my site, without adding all of the html for each page? is there a “include megamenureloaded” method that I’m not seeing? That’s ALOT of code for me to add to each page otherwise…. EDIT: Also, I’d rather not have to install something like PHP to accomplish this.

    Pixelworkshop

    Hello, unfortunately HTML is not a dynamic language. You’ll need PHP for that, but usually all hosting providers have it. The function you’ll need is PHP include.

    Hello, I’m not a specialist when it comes to licensing but it’s not about who purchases them. It’s more a problem of domains : if the product is used on 2 separate domains, then it’s necessary to have 2 separate licenses. If the product is used on a domain and another time in a subdomain (for example yoursite.com and subdomain.yoursite.com), I guess that 1 license is enough.

    But again, I’m not a specialist, it’s just how I understand the rules :)

    Hi, just bought a copy and am really enjoying how well put together this menu is. I have one question:

    Is there an easy way to ensure that the drop-down menu closes once a user clicks on a link in the drop-down content? I have links on the drop-down menu that lead to another page, and the problem is that when the next page is loaded, if the user hits the “Back” button, the drop-down is still sitting there on the previous page…

    PS: I should be clear that the drop-down does, of course, disappear when the user clicks elsewhere on a page, it just doesn’t go away when the user clicks on a link within any of the drop-down panels…

    Pixelworkshop

    Hello, I’m afraid that there’s nothing to do except if you don’t use a click event. I’m having holidays so I can’t do anything but if there’s a possibility to make an improvement here, I’ll for sure try something :)

    Thanks for the quick response. I got a little further on this, but am stuck on one last thing:

    I created a new class, called “megamenu_close” and use that instead of an anchor for links in the drop-down. I bind to the “click” event on that class, as follows:

    $('.megamenu_close').bind('click', function(e) {
            e.stopPropagation();
            $('.megamenu_fullwidth').slideUp();
            window.location = $(this).attr("href");
    });

    This works, in that once the user clicks, the drop-down menu closes and the browser moves to the selected page. However, the problem now is that when the user hits the “Back” button in the browser, the list item (“li”) for the tab is still in the “hover” state until they move their mouse onto the page. The menu is closed, since we handled that before moving to the linked page, but when the user comes back that menu option is still in the “hover / active” state.

    Any suggestion on how to clear that state?

    Thanks!

    Pixelworkshop

    Hello, on my side there’s nothing I can do as I’m having holidays. I don’t have the necessary material to test things and I can’t give you an answer just by looking at some code. Feel free to contact me again in about 10 days if you still need support, thanks !

    I solved it – actually turned out to be rather easy, so I’ll post the solution here in case anyone else needs it:

    $('.megamenu_close').bind('click', function(e) {
            e.stopPropagation();
            $(this).parents("li:first").click();
            window.location = $(this).attr("href");
    });

    That’s all there is to it – just create a special class and bind to the click handler, then trigger the click event on the parent list item to simulate the user clicking on it, and it’s all done.

    Hope you enjoy your vacation :-)

    Pixelworkshop

    Wow that’s very kind from you to come back and post your snippet, that’s great that you could solve it all :) Thanks a lot !

    Great Menu, i have tried reading most of the post’s is there a quick simple method to add a title or caption to the thumbnails product images?

    Pixelworkshop

    Hello and thanks !

    Yes and no, it depends on what you want to achieve… If you want some little text under the images, it’s quite straight : you put your text in a container that has a class and style it via CSS.

    If you want something more complex, like a text appearing above the image when hovering, it’s not complicated but requires some HTML/CSS additions (and possibly a little script if you want some kind of cross-browser effect – it can be done in CSS3 but won’t be animated with old browsers like IE6-9).
