+2 moreNice. The ne thing I wish it had was a drop down for choosing the list, rather than entering the list ID. The API makes that very easy to do
Thanks for info.

! It would be interesting to see an option to custom messages to the “Selected posts/pages” for different list ID. Eg: sign up for my category.
Hi. Do you mean label for checkbox in comments form?
Yes! Custom label in checkbox for each post/page. What do you think?
Hi. I will include it into todo list.
Hi! This plugin is just what I wanted. Only one thing: In comments form, “Sign me up for newsletters” is the only option to advice commentators they are subscribing? Maybe an image. I do not want commentators to feel surprised. Thanks.
Hi. I’m sorry I didn’t catch what you mean. Please explain.
Sorry my bad english. Well, i would like to set “Checked by default” but some people simply don’t read the confirmation label. Maybe an icon or a image will be usefull. Thanks.
Is it compatible with comments plugin like disqus or intensedebate ?
No. Those comments are handled by third party software.
Hello ichurakov, I tested your plugin (local host and my host) and got the following errors when commenting:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in C:\Program Files\wamp\www\ideas\wp-content\plugins\mailchimp-comments\mailchimp-comments.php on line 367(localhost)Warning: curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when safe_mode is enabled or an open_basedir is set in /nfs/XXXXX/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-comments/mailchimp-comments.php on line 371(host MT)Can you help me? Thanks!
Hi. Thanks for purchasing. For localhost you need to install CURL . For “host MT” – please check your e-mail, I’ve sent it through your profile page.
Thanks man! The plugin works fine now after intall cURL! Sorry for the inconvenience. Good sales
Thanks.
I have purchased your plugin but I am having a problem.
I installed the plugin and activated it. I was testing it to make sure it works, and yest it works. But after changing the “Sign me up for newsletters” text, the check box below the comment box disappeared.
What happened?
setcookie("mcc_".....Okay… I did and it is now showing. I’m using the Thesis WordPress theme and I noticed that it was showing two times. I edited the plugin and now displaying one check box and got it to work the way I wanted it
Thanks
Hi! This plugin looks like it may be the closest thing I can find to meet my needs – and I want it!
I think what ‘kspA’ above asked for may be what I need, too. I have many different ‘event categories’ going on, on my business site. I would absolutely LOVE for there to be a way that people are signing up for a particular list, or group (segment) when they comment, that may vary from post to post.
For example, I deal with client marketing, each of whom have their own event post. I don’t want to sign people up for my generic MailChimp newsletter. Instead I would love for their to be a way that they subscribe to information that is specific to each individual client – or the specific to the type of category they select through a drop down list of categories they opt-in for. (Afterwords, I can merge lists, etc.. if they haven’t unsubscribed with 7 days.)
Is this even possible?? I’d be willing to pay double your asking price if you can achieve this, and soon!
Thanks!
Tanya
Hi Tanya. Unfortunately, I don’t have plans to extend functionality such way.
Question.. would the checkbox still be enabled same way if I’m using Disqus or Livefyre for commenting?
Cool plug.. and thanks for answering in advanced.
No. This plugin is for WP native comments.
Ok, thank you ichurakov.
hi, i have a list with certain fields required what would happen in this case?
Hi. If these fields are mandatory, you can not use the plugin.
Does this work with Disquss?
Nope. Only with WP native commenting system.
