how could insert some custom php code inside “custom HTML code” in a layer? I want to make a query from a database and get a dynamic title to be shown in a text layer into layerslider. I tried the traditional <?php ?> tags and some plugins related but is not working any suggestion? thank you very much.

LayerSlider processes shortcodes and other special syntaxes used by other plugins. You can create an extra shortcode for this purpose as currently you can’t insert PHP code into the contents of layers directly. We are planning to add filters for this purpose in a near future update.
I’m having an issue with youtube video embed in the slider. When I embed using the Iframe code the video is shown fine but without it’s thumbnail from youtube. If I use the old code (object) it shows just fine but then does not pause the slider while the video plays.

LayerSlider wants to display a preview image from your video automatically. However, not every video has HD quality preview image, so you should try to lower the quality in your Global Settings of the corresponding slider.
If you are the author of the video in question, you can also upload your own preview image by editing the video on YouTube.
HI, i tried the demo slider ID 4 but on each slide the background image slides in half transparent really fast over the existing background slide image. How can i remove this effect or “bug” ?

Your theme applies some global CSS style settings on the slider elements in the style.css file on line 22.

We’ve purchased this slider and tried inserting the slider into the PHP theme files like so:

For some reason, the slider won’t display the images. Any idea what might be happening?
:UPDATE: Seems as though the files were interfering together, as we had already installed the jquery version of the LayerSlider inside the theme’s folder, before purchasing this plugin! Once we deleted the files from the theme’s directory, the slider started working and now looks awesome! Thank you!

Hello. love the capabilities of the slider. I have used it bundled with a few themes. I am the point now where I need to buy it standalone.
What I would like to know is: Are you able to disable the tooltip in the builder. They are driving me absolutely crazy. With the amount of time one spends on the design screen, I am close to having a fit with them flashing up over EVERY option.
I get it might be handy for someone that has not used it before, but seriously annoying. I am minutes away from throwing my monitor out of the window.

LayerSlider is working (in fallback mode) in IE7 but not in IE6.
Pity there’s not a better search feature here on CodeCanyon so use users can share solutions..
Here’s what I ended up using to stop the LayerSlider from showing when in IE6 or 7 and then via a separate css file I show a static image in place.

I purchased the Vanguard theme, which comes with Layer Slider.
I’m adding the Title attribute to the images in a sublayer, but they do not seem to show up. How can I fix this? I need this for tooltips over the images.
It works OK when I place the img code (with the title attribute) manually into a div sublayer, but the images are not responsive in that case.

thanks, I’ve had some success after fixing the DIV height first, and setting the image height from an external styling sheet.
Is there a bug related to title attribute at the moment? I’d like to be able to use this instead of the workaround in the future. It’s one of the best sliders available in the market, so it’s likely we’ll be using it again.

I think that you should try to check if a newer version of the theme is available or not (with a newer version of LayerSlider of course). If not, the developer should update his theme with the latest version of our plugin.

This hover feature is not the part of the plugin unfortunately, so you will need to do it on your own. You can add class name or id to the layer on the layerslider admin which do you want to change by hovering with the mouse and you will need to write a custom JS function which changes the src attribute of the image if you move your mouse over it.

Yes, you can. We would like to recommend you to put LayerSlider into your theme folder and install it locally with TGM. If you are planning to host LayerSlider elsewhere, you need to make sure that the plugin is unaccessible for other users than your purchasers.

I think that maybe some plugins and / or some global CSS styles of the theme can cause this issue, so you will need to ask the theme developer about this issue because he will properly know better the working of his theme.

One more question for you. When I set an image as a global background, it starts duplicating the image to fit the full width slider instead of just zooming in like what happens when the image is set as an individual slider background. How can I change that?

Unfortunately the global background will not resize itself because most of the users need that it keep its original size.
So, is there a way to get around that? If I set the same image as the background for all 3 slides, can I make it so the image doesn’t transition at all?

Hello! I recently purchased the Enfold WP theme from Theme Forest. I, along with several other people, am experiencing great difficulty using your slider within this theme. Problems range from there is a problem using the slider in full-width mode, to images not appearing on mobile devices. I was wondering if you are aware of these problems, and whether or not this is an issue with the WP layerSlider, or perhaps a coding problem with the theme itself.

With your permission i would like to incorporate the plugin with the TGM Activation Class. What this basically does is to tell the user when the theme is activated to run the plugin installer for the Layer Slider, rather having the user manually upload the plugin.
