Hi,

Is there a possibility to choose a border width in LBG VP1 HTML5 version like the others 2?

Thanks in advance

Regards

LambertGroup

Hello,

No such option.

You can insert the player in a div with width, height, padding and background.

I like the script, but there seems to be some problems when playing a file. It kind of stutters sometimes. Encoded with MiroVideoConverter. Here’s the Link: http://www.mf-media.tv/testbtv/

Hello,

On what browser you are experiencing the problem. I ask you this so I know which of the 3 files (mp4, ogv, webm) are causing the problem.

It’s usally on the .mp4. Only happens on the first load.

Getting an error when I click on Manage Players:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in C:\xampp\xampp\htdocs\DGN\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\lbg-vp1-html5\tpl\players.php on line 40

Also, on the page I have put the shortcode, it just loads forever. I can see the player, but you can’t even scroll down the page. It’s like a function just keeps running or something…

Thanks you

Sorry, another one. The Playlist isn’t usable (scrollbar too thin) on the iPad. How can I fix this?

Also if I choose different videos the Preview Image does not change. Also on the iPad.

I’ve changed the link: http://www.mf-media.tv/bayrischzell-tv/

LambertGroup

Hello,

You can change the scrollbar thickness from the CSS file. Please email me on office@lambertgroup.ro and I’ll reply what lines to modify

awesome plugin. Thank you!

Is there a way to invoke the play/pause function through a onclick event from a link outside the control div?

LambertGroup

Hello,

You can do this using:

document.getElementById(videoID).play();</video>

Just replace videoID with ‘your video tag Id’. If you have problems, please email me on office@lambertgroup.ro the link where you have the player so I could tell you what is the videoID in your case

Is there no way to make the player “truly” go full screen in all / any browser(s) using your plugin (I mean, hide the browser interface / only video)?

In FF 10 -12, Press the fullscreen mode button any of the demo video players. Then press F11 to enter Firefox’s fullscreen mode. Notice the undesirable separation (big black gap) between the video and the controls below.

If you instead press the F11 first in Firefox and then press the video player’s fullscreen mode button, all is fine. It’s just an order of events thing but should be fixed if possible, right?

In Chrome 18 (don’t know about other versions), with the DIVX plugin installed, the DIVX plugin seems to override the HTML5 player and cause the video to flicker as you scroll up / down the page (in DIVX v8, at least).

I uninstalled the whole DIVX package from Windows 7 and all was well. However, this could be confusing to visitors since they likely won’t blame it on DIVX but the website instead. Also, uninstalling a plugin they may want / need may not be an option. Is there a fix or a way to prevent DIVX from loading instead of the HTML5 player? FF and Safari don’t do this, so I don’t know why Chrome does. I don’t have a device running Chrome on Android 4.0 (not the stock browser but actually the optional “Chrome” browser for ICS ) but it might exhibit similar behavior?

LambertGroup

Hello,

The fullscreen works ok from our testing. The player fills the browser area, that’s why you need to hit F11 first. Also, the usage of F11 is not the very recommended thing to do when playing a movie.

I define fullscreen as “fills all available screen area / real estate on any given device / resolution” but I think you may be defining it as “as long as it fills the full browser viewport, it’s good enough.” That’s probably the difference between us. That answers my question though. It is capable of full screen browser video but not full screen video. An important distinction. Thanks!

Understood. However, what is recommended or isn’t recommended often doesn’t matter to many visitors using a website. I certainly won’t be there to tell them that it’s not recommended if they decide to do it and shouldn’t have to be. LOL . :-) I’m just letting you know that it’s an area that you might want to polish a bit more…or not. It really should behave better if it’s possible but that’s just my opinion. Take it for what you will.

Hi. Does this plugin support vimeo or youtube? Thanks.

LambertGroup

Hello,

It plays .MP4, .OGV and .WEBM video files. No YouTube or Vimeo support

Hi.

I bought the plugin and have a problem with the fullscreen mode on the “Brightbox”-Theme from kriesi.at

In fullscreen mode the video “falls” behind the header, menu and footer which are still visible.

Here’s the link for the demonstration: http://www.pw-umwelttechnik.de/demonstrationsvideo/

Best regards

LambertGroup

Hello,

I see only an youtube video there.

Please email me the link on office@lambertgroup.ro so I could take a look.

My guess is that the theme header & footer have big z-index

HI, the plugin is great but for some reason none of the html 5 videos work in safari!!

LambertGroup

Hello,

LambertGroup

Hello,

You have to add the videos in the playlist using the wp-admin so you can’t generate the playlist from a RSS feed

I think the answer is yes on this.

So I can have a video that is mp4 and it wil play on all browsers and be mobile friendly and iPad/tablet friendly?

This can also do YouTube vids as well. Correct?

LambertGroup

To play on all browsers and Operating Systems you also need .ogv and .webm

Youtube is not available

What is a good video conversion tool?

LambertGroup

Hello,

We recommend http://www.mirovideoconverter.com/ and this addon for Firefox: http://firefogg.org/

I love what this plugin has to offer. One question. Will it work on WPMU

I want to use this player in a pay per view environment, but I noticed that if you directly call the file, you can bypass payment because using view-source you can obtain full URL of movie.

is there a way to protect directory /videos to prevent direct leeching of the movies?

thanks.

LambertGroup

Hello,

Try something from .htaccess. Redirect the user if they use a direct link to the videos folder.

P.S. this has nothing to do with our player, it’s a server security issue
