I’m sorry, the links work. It was my firewall that was causing/blocking access. I never experienced that before. Couple more questions:

how hard/easy would it be to have images show in lightbox or similar?

can I create a user that doesn’t see the settings page? I just want them to upload photos, create galleries, etc…

what’s involved with integrating into a site? I want to set this up for a client’s website. Do I insert code once or do I have to constantly update the code for them? I want an implement and walk away solution

Thank you

Hey,

This would take a bit of modification – would you be able to email me via my profile page so we can discuss this further?

It can be easy to integrate into an existing site but it all depends on how the existing site it setup :)

Thanks, Matt.

Hi Matt,

Any new features, bug fixes, updates, etc in the last 12 months?

I would like to know if this application is still being updated and developed.

Q1. How do you go about including a gallery into a PHP page? (Include_file?)
Q2. How do you include a gallery into a TPL (Smarty) page?
Q3. Are all functions, variabes, and files in the script fully documented?
Q4. Are all styles and functions named with unique names so as not to conflict with other scripts during integration?
Q5. Can alternatives such as PrettyPhoto used instead of existing lightbox?? eg. Configuration drop down, and then code checks for $_setting.pop-up and displays the chosen plugin for images.

Thank you!

Hey,

Sorry for the late reply.

I’m applying the finishing touches to the new version of Mokoala & the CMS so I’d imagine there’ll be an update in the next month.

1. The templates are really easy to work with, they are composed of simple markup with a header and footer. All you’d need to do is remove the header & footer and perform a PHP include on gallery.php file.

2. Smarty isn’t something I’m particularly familiar with but based on my knowledge it wouldn’t be difficult as the includes for Mokoala are very unobtrusive.

3. Some parts are documented inline, others are covered http://mokoala.com/using & http://mokoala.com/documentation

4. Yes, I’ve done my best to make the CSS non-ambiguous so as not to clash with existing styles but to give you direct control over as many dynamic elements as possible, especially form fields.

5. It depends on how comfortable you are with JS & PHP but I’d say it would be a straightforward implementation :)

Let me know if you have any questions & sorry for the late reply!

Thanks, Matt

Hmmm is there any reason why there is no NEXT / PREVIOUS available after clicking on an image????

Otherwise you have to press BACK , then click the next image, wait for the page to load, and then press back again!

Hmmmm :(

Hey,

when you are viewing an image and you hover over it, left & right arrows appear allowing you to view the next and previous images, providing they exist.

2 quick questions:
1st.) what is the purpose of the access levels? i was checking what each access level does (1,2,3,4) but i dont see a difference.
2nd.) how can i protect the system from spammers. its so easy to register new members. will you add some sorth of Captcha? or what to do?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hey,

1. They are a core part of the CMS , basically it’s up to you what you use them for, however, by default they aren’t used – they are there simply to provide an easy way to decide which users groups are entitled to what level of access on your site. 2. If you create a new field and define the “type” as “captcha” – does that make sense?

Thanks, Matt.

is there any bulk upload feature? Or can it display images by fetching all images from a folder and its subfolders?

Unable to checkout admin panel. admin@mattlowden.com / adminadmin Username and password does not work.

Hey,

I am working on a bulk upload feature but I’m genuinely swamped with my full time job & freelance projects so I’m not entirely sure when I’ll get around to releasing the updated version.

There’s currently no way to upload files to a folder and batch process them, no – not something I’ve thought about but it’s certainly worth bearing in mind.

If you want to use the latest version, with the bulk upload then drop me an email via my profile page and I’ll talk to you about it in more detail.

2. Login should be working!

Thanks! Matt.

It seems site has been hacked: “Defaced By KingHackTeam # Scorpion__King # Turkish Defacer Team” This appers to be name of first user. So, there are security loopholes then?

Hey,

This is just a user’s display name – as far as I can tell no element of the site has been hacked.

Does that make sense?

Thanks, Matt.
