Is there a new product that has replaced this by the author or something?

yes – we are busy rewriting this plugin from the ground up

no support, no response.. looks like no interest in doing business anymore :(

Is this product still available as a live, supported, updated product please?

Yes I’m thinking of buying in this, and I am trying to find out and I don’t see it here, can it show more than one bar at one time? More than one notification bar?

Thank you for your time Curtis

This version only allows a single instance of FooBar per page. The new version we are busy testing allows multiple FooBars per page

I see you guys are coming up with a new version. If we purchase now, do we get the new version? Or do I need to buy another?

everyone who purchases FooBar V2 will get a free update to V3. There are a lot of breaking changes, so we are not too sure how we will handle migrating V2 foobars to V3 at this stage. But updates are free – yes

Any ETA on the new plugin? Tried to use the current version and it isn’t working properly…

Any live demo? Can’t get a feel for it by looking at static screen shots. Live demo link broken.

Nice, neat work.

Does it support shortcodes for content?

What conditional logic would I use to only show the foobar when: member role type “sjmemberfree” is logged in? I see other posts about this conditional logic but it’s a bit too advanced for me to figure out how to code/customize. If someone could please help me with this I’d really appreciate it.

Best Regards

After looking at this discussion : http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/5047/how-to-check-if-a-user-is-in-a-specific-role you might need to add some custom php code to your functions.php file in your theme. I have not tested this code, so please test it locally before you upload to your live server. Add this code to your functions.php:

function foo_check_user_role( $role ) { $user = wp_get_current_user(); if ( in_array( $role, (array) $user->roles ) ) { return true; } return false; }

And then your conditional foobar logic will be:

foo_check_user_role( 'sjmemberfree' )

Thanks for putting this together! ...However after implementing those 2 pieces of code, the foobar is still appearing for my test user account (of that specific type we want to hide the bar for when logged in)

As seen here on my test site here:

http://appsocialjack.wpengine.com test-user Forward1

Any ideas why that code would not be working? I made sure the user role type was set properly for this user and I also made sure to clear the cache on my site locally and at the server level to make sure that isn’t the issue. I also disabled ALL plugins except for the foobar plugin to rule out plugin conflicts.

Any Ideas? Thanks! Joe
