Hi, Thanks for getting back to me so promptly. I was also wondering how to disable the click function as every time you click on anywhere on the site, the image refreshes.
Hi there,
You can remove the line: $(‘body’).click(background.next);
This if you copied on of the examples included in the downloaded package I always advice to follow the help file as there might be code in the preview that you may not need.
Cheers
Oh sorry, I missed that in the examples, I haven’t gone through all of them. Thanks for your help
Due to my absence (in vacation) from 4th to 18th August I won’t be able to answer to support requests during this period. I’ll answer them as soon as I get back.
Thanks for your understanding
Kind Regards
Hi!
First of all, great script. Thanks!
Question: is there a way to have the images always showing , say, 120 pixels from the top of the viewport/screen?
Thanks!
I guess my previous question is better expressed like this: can this script be used within a div (at 100% width) so that the images are always re-sized and keep within the flow of the content?
I need to use images that fill the screen from side to side, but not top to bottom.
No, sorry this only works as full background :s
Regards
Wondering if you could help out, seems like your code is very similar to another one I am playing with, this code here: $(‘body’).click(background.next) Can the click go to a url vs backround.next? Or make the body a click thru and remove that line of code like you have been mentioning to others. Can’t seem to find any information on this function change.
I didn’t buy yours, didn’t know about it until searching code. If you can help that would be appreciated, but if you can’t I understand.
THanks
Sorry mate, don’t give support to my item to non buyers, hope you understand.
Regards
Is there a way to slow down the transition between the pictures used? I see the numbers but if I change them, nothing happens?
can you help??
You can change the time values on the easy background call function. Are they not applying? If so send me the link to your site.
Sorry for the delay.
Regards
Can i just have the blue background as the background with no transitions?
Hi,
Yes you can achieve that with Easy background
cheers
I have an issue. It appends a none and undefined to the url. It thows a js error cuz it can’t find them.
It is in fact doing that, thanks for reporting the bug, hadn’t notice. I’ll make an update for this file in the near future so keep posted
Thanks
Thanks
Any update?
Any Update???
Sorry for the delay, drop me an email I’ll send you a correction.
Regards
Very good job, I used it for a very simple static background. Worth every penny. thanks!
Thanks mate, don’t forget to rate it
Cheers
Does this plugin work with jQuery 1.9 ?
Yes, it should work fine
Regards
Very good job BUT : As shawnbrink says 1 mont ago options : pattern : “none” make a div :
<div style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; float: left; background-image: url(" none="" background-repeat:="" repeat="" />which provoque two Network Error : “NetworkError: 404 Not Found – http://localhost/juicebox/none" “NetworkError: 404 Not Found – http://localhost/juicebox/undefined"Yes, thanks for pointing that out. Should have noticed that. I’ll try to make an update today if I have some free time to do it.
Regards
on the Ipad/iphone it make a flash whith the next image, disappear a after change the background correctly. can i remove this problem?
Didn’t understand well what the problem is
Can you send me a printscreen or something for me to take a look at?
Regards
it’s simple, ( sorry for my englisg) when it’s visited by iphone or ipad while the background is changing, it make a flash of the next slide, after the next slides arrive. and it’s not good to look at! thanks
I’ll get it reviewed on an ipad as soon as I can.
Thanks
Hi Plusquare, sorry for asking, but the images are drawn directly to a folder, or you have to enter them manually? Thanks Luca
Hi,
You have to enter them manually when calling the script.
Regards
ok Plusquare thank you for information. Regards Luca
I want to use jquery.noConflict in the above script but not finding the right way do it.
Jquery no conflict shouldn’t be necessary with my script, try debugging it with firebug to see what’s outputing.
Regards
Thank you. I use Joomla, so I need noConflict. Please, see the page source code: http://re-vera.ru/test/
This is what I get in firebug:
”$ is undefined”
Doesn’t say the line but it seems you’re not protecting the $ value for jquery so try something like:
jQuery(document).ready(function($){ //here $ can be used without a problem });This goes a bit beyond my script’s support as it’s not a problem from it but I’m glad to give you some hints.
Regards
This is a great product and flippen easy to set up, thank you very much…Highly Recommended…
Thanks mate
Just wanted to say thanks, got this awhile ago and it works like a charm and I would suggest to anyone out there they should get it. I do though wish (now that I have used it as it was intended) I could make it work within a DIV rather then the whole background. Any suggestion as to how to go about doing that? I know you stated before that it can’t be done… (I love one page sites that why I ask)
You’d have to change somethings in the code as the script gets the window’s size and no it’s parent holder size.
I might make it for the next version. For now you can always make as set of images and change image when you change page for one page templates for example
Regards
hi i bought apartment rental from code canyon a few months back would this work in apartment rental? i need a background and cant find any way to put one in, the site is looking insipid and poor
Hi,
Don’t know what apartment rental is firstly but the script should work in any html based site
Regards
thanx
Hi there, I have an issue here. It works well on my machine when I run it from localhost, however when I upload it on my hosting server, it doesn’t run at all, even I use just your example … Is there any possibility that this script is somehow blocked by my provider?
Hi,
Can you show me the link to it so i can see what the error is?
Regards
This gives me 404, you musn’t have uploaded the js folder
Regards
Hello, there. I resolved that. The server turns all caps into small caps and that’s why it did not found that js script. I changed it and it works superb. thank you
No problem. Good luck with your project
Regards
may I have another question? On the page I did it works just well, I’m thinking about to buy it once more for blogger/google, but I’m not sure it will work there. Do you have any experiences with it?
blogger/google? What do you mean?
Quick update – HELP needed
Been working with Background now for the past year, GR8! Now have a issue with various different codes from codecanyon that all use different versions of JQuery, and I cannot get ALL to run together… ieCan I get all of these to work under 1 Jquery??? NO, so I need to ask you…
Have you updated Background yet to run with the later Jquery 1.83 rather than 1.62 (note ver 1.9.4 is buggy and doesnt support IE7)
Hope you can say yes
Hi,
Sorry but can’t asure you I will in a near future as the amount of work I’m having is huge. So the answer is no I’m afraid.
Regards
whats involved, perhaps I could hack it? If poss??
Don’t know all the implications it would have, but the first thing I’d check would be the mouse scroll javascript as I don’t think it is updated enough to work with latest jquery. Then it’s a matter of checking which errors it would output with firebug for example
Regards
err ok this looks like its going to be an impossibility for me??? Will have a LOOK, but unsure if I will be able to hack that much, but may surprise myself
Will get back to you and keep you updated as I progress
Good luck, sorry to not be able to help you on this but my time is more than limited right now.
Regards
