Hi,

I’m considering to purchase this plugin, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to use any custom markup per tile, or if it’s just for img tags. Every demo just has an img tag in each tile, and I need to put some extra text and icons in a tile. Is that even possible?

Also, another question, is it possible to dynamically add items via AJAX when you’re dragging the grid? I want to start with a set of say 20 images, and add more images to the grid via AJAX when i’m panning around. Can I do that with this plugin?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi.

About the custom markup it is not possible and for a good reason, the grid is really intensive on the CPU and any extra html element added will probably kill most of mobile devices, the code is optimized and we made many tests before the release and the conclusion is that it must be kept simple like it is now.

About adding images the grid is displaying the first set of images and when dragging is randomly pulling images from the playlist, you can add as many images as you like and they will be randomly showed when the grid is dragged, there is a algorithm that is pulling images from the playlist making sure that they are not repeating one after another in a close proximity, you don’t need to use ajax for this, all images are added using html tags by editing the grid playlist.

Hi! Great stuff, I like it! 2 questions, though:

1) I would like to use the fullscreen grid and have a few items sit on top of it, like a logo and a contact button. In the documentation I’ve read ”... the grid will always fill the entire browser viewport, any other html elements will be hidden.”

I’ve tried adding the following inside the body (right after opening/before closing): <img src="logo.png" width="100" height="50" /> and with the following css: body>img {position:fixed; top:25px; left:25px; z-index:100;}

Still not visible. I’ve checked global.css but nothing there, so it must be the JS that hides this. Unfortunately I’m no JS expert, let alone when it’s minified.

2) Someone already asked this, but I’m also interested in removing the line in between images. What should I change to achieve that, please?

Thanks in advance!

forgot one, 3) Instead of adding an overlay to all images and remove overlay upon mouseover, I’d like to turn it around. I’d like all images to be 100% opacity and only the ones I move my mouse over should reduce opacity. Can this be done?

Apparently, I was able to solve #1 just by adding this:

visibility:visible;

So nevermind that question. :)
