It’s not working at all. Can you give me my money back, please?
Hello adanvecindad
Thank you for buying the plugin. Please submit a ticket at http://support.righthere.com. Most likely you haven’t configured it correctly. Please study the screenshots.
First you create the background. Then you use the Selector Tool to assign the background to an area on your website. And last you need to select which page, post, etc. the background should be displayed on.
We will be happy to help you.
No, I didn’t like your product. It’s not intuitive and is more hedaches and frustration.
Hello adanvecindad
Just because you don’t find it intuitive that doesn’t entitle you to a refund. In reference to refunds on items purchased on Codecanyon you should read this http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/256/55/can-i-get-a-refund-for-an-item-i-have-purchased
If you really study the flow of how you create backgrounds you will find that it actually is really cool the way you apply backgrounds and how you can add these to basically any element of your website. If you need any help let us know, but I can’t issue you a refund just because you don’t like it. Also remember that money transactions are handled by Codecanyon (we are just authors of the item and receiving a commission from every sale).
Whatever. Your plugin sucks!
hello adanvecindad
I’m sorry you feel like that. If you don’t event want me to help you then I can’t really do much for you. It is great plugin with a lot of versatility, but you unfortunately won’t let me explain you how it works.
Hello,
we’re using your plugin in pair with Display theme by Kriesi. The background manager works as intented, the only problem is that the clickable background feature doesn’t work. It seems that the problem is the plugin doesn’t generate correctly the JS that manages the click event on the background. Unfortunately I can’t give you our admin credentials, but my question is: are there known bugs with this theme?
Thanks in advance.
Hello mikamai
Thank you for buying the plugin. I believe we had a problem with the clickable background in a older version, but it was fixed. Did you update the plugin to the latest version ?
Version 3.1.9 rev32234 – January 5, 2013
Hello Guys,
thanks for the fast reply. Yep, we’re running the latest version of the plugin (Stable tag: 3.1.9 rev32234). The problem is we don’t have any Javascript error at all in the console debugger—I believe this is due to the fact that the JS isn’t generated at all (there is no script tag related to the plugin injected in the HTML). Any ideas?
Thanks again.
we will have to take a look at this. Can you please submit a ticket at http://support.righthere.com and provide wp-admin access.
Have you tired to disable all plugins and only use Custom Backgrounds and see if it works? If it does then activate other plugins one-by-one until it doesn’t work. This way we can identify possible conflicts.
However if it doesn’t work with all other plugins disabled then it might be a theme conflict. We don’t have that specific theme so we can test.
Hey, thank again for the fast response.
We tried to disable the other plugins, however the click feature still didn’t work. I guess there’s a theme incompatibility issue—think I’ll just submit a ticket to your support site.
Again, thanks!
Let me know the ticket no. and we will have a look.
Hi. I am interested in this but I cannot find any examples? I know I can try the admin but I want to see the potential? Any demos?
I’d also like to be able to have top to bottom effect but also a similar effect with sideways animations? Bascially page halts in position say half way through scrolling down screen a fair bit – then it shows some sideway animations and then after that continues to scroll down. like this example here….. https://victoriabeckham.landrover.com/INT
thanks guys
Hello
Go to the Custom Backgrounds menu on the demo site http://plugins.righthere.com and there is around 20+ examples http://cloud.righthere.com/image/0o0y3E0y1g0mPlease notice that you can not create an effect like the one Land Rover has used on their website. That is an advanced Parallax effect.
Hi,
If I have a block element in my design, and the block is not fullwidth screen, can I still use your plugin to have the background fullwidth screen – like fluid.
The block is fullwidth of the wrapper box, but not fullwidth screen.
Thanks!
You should be able to assign a background to the area.
Are these backgrounds fully responsive? I am especially interested in the jquerty stretcher
The jQuery background stretcher is responsive.
Can i embed a .swf background?
nope the plugin doesn’t support that. We will be updating it to allow video, but this update will not be out for weeks.
OK! Thank you!
i dont see the paralax sample
Hi, is your background manager plugin compatible with the WPML plugin?
Thanks in advance.
Are you looking to translate the plugin?
This was the first plugin we launched on Codecanyon. I will have to check the source code to see if we added support for Internationalization. All new plugins that we release support the WordPress codex for Internationalization (http://codex.wordpress.org/I18n_for_WordPress_Developers). This means that you can use our Easy Translation Manager for WordPress or a plugin like WPML.
No, I am not looking to translate the plugin. I am just looking for compatibility with WPML plugin in a sense that when I assign a particular background image to a particular category, it actually shows in that category for all the languages.
Thanks
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand what you are looking for. Are you looking for a plugin that can create backgrounds that works with WPML or are you looking for a plugin that you can translate. Please clarify.. the link you send me is not our plugin.
I am looking for a plugin that can create backgrounds that work with WPML… simple as that
I’m sorry but it still doesn’t answer my question.
Are you looking to translate the plugin? Or are you looking to use different backgrounds depending on the language of your website?
No, I am not looking to translate the plugin.
Here is the scenario:
Let’s say I would like to use different image backgrounds for specific pages, categories and posts. You advertise you plugin can do this.
So, the only thing I am wondering is, will your plugin work for all the languages on my website. Or, the simplest way to put it, is it compatible with WPML plugin?
The plugins I’ve tried so far, similar to yours, would only show correct images for the default language, which is English in my case. If the user would surf the website in different language, background images would not show.
So, really, the question comes down to compatibility with WPML plugin
Ok so you are basically saying that when you switch from Language 1 to Language 2 the backgrounds would disappear. ..that sucks! That seems to be a problem with the way that WPML handles the translation. I know it creates a copy of the post or page that is translated. I don’t have WPML my self (our license expired last year and I’m not going to renew it). We created our Easy Translation Manager for WordPress because we didn’t like the way WPML worked and we had too many problems with projects using WPML. I’m not saying it is a bad plugin – it is very popular for handling translations, however I believe ours does a better job. And backgrounds created with our own Custom Backgrounds also show when the user is switching between languages.
I can’t really test this for you as it requires that I buy a new license for WPML.
That’s all great, but it would be way too much work right now in order to switch to a different translation plugin :/
Would you be able to test it locally if sent you the newest version WPML plugin?
Your help regarding this matter is greatly appreciated.
Sure I understand you, but the problem is how WPML works! This seems to be a bug in WPML and not the background plugin you are using. This is exactly why we created our own Translation plugin we always ran into different issues using WPML. In general its a good and very popular plugin, but I believe ours is better.
If you send us a copy (of course we will only use it for testing) we can take a look locally.

Hello,
One question I was playing with your demo and looks fine, but is there an option to have a fixed background ?
If not can it be done?
Thank you
You can easily do fixed backgrounds. If you go to http://plugins.righthere.com and check out the Custom Backgrounds menu there are many examples of different backgrounds.
When you say fixed.. do you mean that it stays in place when you scroll ? In the CSS settings you can easily choose this http://cloud.righthere.com/image/2U0G031S1b36
Only one thing ( since I’m a designer I look at this things
) you should try to make the design better looking
Thanks one more time.
This is actually our first plugin we released on Codecanyon September 1, 2010… we have of course released several updates, but we have not really updated the interface since back in 2011. We know that it needs a overhaul – however it works and does the job.
It has a lot of options for creating backgrounds, but it is definitely on our list for getting a new better interface.
Thank you for supporting our plugins.
Hi, I”m a little confused about the selector.
I’ve managed to get the background showing on the whole page, but only by adding .header, .content, .footer in the selector part. Is there a place I should be putting it to do it all in one go rather than in three parts?
Site is here: http://designquarter2013.com
Thanks.
Hello SparkCreative
Thank you for buying the plugin. Use the “hide” button then you hide the layers and then you can get to the bottom. Try “BODY” ...
Boom! Sorted. Thanks for the speedy response.
great.. let me know if yo have any other questions.
My background is not clickable, I turned off all other plugins, I inserted in theme css ”. body_background {background: none! important;}” and does not operate. Any ideas? My theme is Techozoic Fluid. the selector does not work, I have written the option BODY
Hello forumad
Thank you for buying the plugin. Did you update the plugin to the latest version? The last version we released fixed a bug in the clickable background. If it still doesn’t work please visit our helpdesk at http://support.righthere.com and submit a ticket + provide wp-admin access.
My version 3.1.9 rev32234 is correct?
That should be the latest… please submit a ticket and provide a description of the problem and we will have a look.
Hi there! It works great! I have one issue thou: When i visit a child page , i still see the same image from previous page but when i refresh THEN i see the new one. What could cause that ?
Thank you for buying the plugin. Did you assign a background for the parent and another background for the child? We will have to take a look at it.
Yes i did , the 2 pages have diffirent backgrounds. When a refresh again then the right bg image shows. I could give you the link but its private. Where can i send it ?
submit a ticket at http://support.righthere.com and provide wp-admin access and we will review.
Hi there , thanks for asnwering on fast notice. Im sorry i cant give wp-admin access because its a private secure project to a customer. You can view source code , is that enough ?
Not really we will need to see if there are any javascript errors in the developer console and we will need to see if you configured the plugin correct in the wp-admin. Whether you assign a background on Page Templates or you also assign a background as an Individual background.
The Template background might be overruling the individual.. again we need to look at this otherwise its pretty much guessing what could be wrong.
