=)...okok, I give up!

A simpler question: Is there a way to PRESERVE all the handlers instead of removing them, I have a lot of JS stuff going on (navigations etc.) and this all doesn’t work anymore after the content is pulled via ajaxy…

thanks for your answer!

The events cannot be preserved in the normal sense, since all the content is being wiped and new content is being added. Your can use the “updateHandler” option to have more control over what happens when new content is added though. This could involve adding new event handlers… So, you could have one function in your JavaScript that takes care of all the events. You could call it when the page first loads, and also use it within an “updateHandler” for new content. You can read more about the “updateHandler” option in the documentation.

WOW !

This is amazing and very well documented. I would rate my javascript skills from a 1 to 10 as a 4 or 5.

And its easy for me to understand which is great. Your demo file really helped me grasp it.

Thanks

Ok I came upon a problem while not really a problem but sort of. I posted this in here because I think someone else might try to implement a lightbox with this script.

I used the anchor filter to only use .html extensions, while I have a relative url with a .jpg extension. I also tried a full url.

So if I am thinking right the script should do nothing right? Because I want to implement Fancybox into a project I am doing.

When ajaxy is disabled fancy box runs like it should, but when ajaxy is enabled it opens in a new tab.

So is there a way to make ajaxy do absolutely nothing if it does not match with the anchor filter?

Here is my url I am trying. <a href="http://freddygonzalez.me/up/img/slide_1.jpg" id="single_image" class="zoom"><img src="http://freddygonzalez.me/up/img/logo.gif" alt="work" /></a>

JimmyP,

Will this integrate with Wordpress? I read through all your great documentation, maybe I missed it…

Ajaxy is quite flexible, but has been designed to work best with smaller sites… Not anything massive.

It’s also worth mentioning that Ajaxy really has no idea what’s going on at the server—it’s an entirely client-side solution. If it works on a regular static site then it should work on a similar Wordpress site.

Integration might be an issue if you’re not used to adding custom JS to your Wordpress theme, but it should be as simple as linking to ajaxy.js in header.php (in your theme folder).

The IE click sound is a feature of the browser that you can’t control via JavaScript.

Hi Jimmy,

I tested this script in IE8 and found what I think is a bug.

Supposing the user opens the home page and then clicks through a few links, they think click the browser back button several times to get back to the home page, if they click one extra time the loading gif appears and all links are disabled from then on.

The same happens if they click a link and then click the back button twice.

There is a problem with the function “redirectToHomePage.” When you load demo/why.html it redirects you back to the homepage, instead of e.g. demo/index.html#demo/why.html.

How about Joomla? Have you thought about making this a plugin for Joomla – it could be incredibly, incredibly useful. However, you’d need to be able to support all the mootools, jQuery and other JS things that go on regularly in Joomla templates

I’d be very interested in using this for Joomla sites – is it possible?

Awesome work. Can it load flash? I wanted one of the tabs to contain a flash video but seem to be having trouble, am I missing something or is it simply not designed to do this?

I can’t get any other jquery scripts to work on pages within the site that are being loaded through Ajaxy. Like I have a slideshow script I would like to use that works fine when I take out the Ajaxy code, but once that is put back in the script does not work.

Here is the script I’m using: http://workshop.rs/projects/jqfancytransitions/

Any help is appreciated. Might have to just load that page without Ajaxy.

JimmyP,

First off, Thanks for the great script and documentation, it helped a LOT while implementing it into my site.

Now to my question:

I have a few directories that i DO NOT want loaded using ajaxy, how can i exclude them from the script, for example i have www.mysite.com/essentials, and when i click the link it just says loading but nothing happens.

Thankyou,

Domenic
