Just a heads up to let you know that your domain, web44.net, seems to be blacklisted as a phishing site, at least by Comodo… you should put your demo on another domain.
Sigh, I was hoping this wouldn’t happen. I’m very sorry! I’ll get it up to a new host ASAP .
I’m sorry, but how did this get approved?
What do you mean?
How are hits stored long-term? MySQL?
They are stored in a text file.
They are stored in a text file.
for me bugged in IE!
Really? How so?
How did it bug? I will fix it! And which version of IE are you using?
value is shown twice and counts up without break (IE9)
This was just what I was looking for! I am a designer, not a scripter or programmer, and this was simple and easy for me to use.
The last counter I used was filling up the server’s error log (because I tried to write the script!) No errors here
Thx!
Thank you!!
Just checked your live Preview… strange but the counter is jumping everytime by about 10,000…does that mean its really having 10,000 hits at every refresh (probably every 1-2 seconds)
Using IE9
Odd, it shouldn’t be! I’ll look into this. Thanks!
I just looked at it myself, and there is about 5000 hits in it right now. At least the hit counter isn’t actually sending 10,000 hits every second, it just must be the IE9 ’s JS engine acting weird. This was created before IE9 , (uploaded after, though), so I’ll probably end up re-writing it.
Does this code snippet work on multiple pages, and show their individual page visits, or if the code is on multiple pages, does it show a universal page visit on all the pages?
It shows the universal page visits. It’s meant to be a site-wide hit counter. All the pages with the Activehits tag header will add to a hit that is registered globally across the site.
Great File and simple code…
Thanks!

Ah, I see. Thanks for pointing that out!
I am wondering about this… So it just stores the number and updates it, not like the other one i saw that just shows how many users are online, but if you can get it working for mysql i will buy it!
