Hi Liviu,
Awesome job!
BTW, Is it possible to use the accelerometer to scroll the panorama view? If so, could you please give me a demo, thanks
Kai
Hi, thank you so much. The plugin supports only touch events on small devices – no accelerometer support yet.
Thanks for reply.
I just want to use the accelerometer to drive the viewer to scroll, can you help ?
Sorry, there is no accelerometer support for the plugin. I’ll think about it for a future version.
OK, I was just trying to use accelerometer ( Gyroscope actually ) to scroll the panorama by this post http://www.lakercompendium.com/how-to-use/advanced-techniques/using-the-accelerometer/ , however it seems to be hard …
Thanks anyway!
Kai
Do you have an example of the carouFredSel integration?
Yes, there is an example in the purchased file – but no live preview for it.
Is there any possibility of adding field of view and supporting more than just flat panoramas? There is a great example here using webgl – http://mrdoob.github.com/three.js/examples/webgl_panorama_equirectangular.html
The script does not use canvas to render the panorama – canvas with webgl is a new feature added and supported only by the latest browsers. It’s not yet a reliable solution.
Where the hell do i click to give you five stars?
Hey, rating id available in the Author Dashboard in the Downloads tab, thanks!
Thank you for this plugin, it works like charm, I only have one issue: when mapping/ adding hrefs area target_blank wont work. even window.open wont open link in new tab, do you have any idea how to fix this? thank you in advance
Hi, please get back to me with a message via my contact form on my profile page and I’ll help you customize the script with your requested feature. Thank you.
Hi, does this support only left and right panning or can you also pan up and down.
I am looking for a replacement to a flash plugin I used called pano2vr which allows full rotation in any direction as though you were moving your head in a real environment.
Thanks
Hi, this plugin supports only left and right movement.
Hi, this is a really good viewer thanks! Is it possible to “lock” the position of the viewer, so that it doesn’t move when resizing the browser, since I need to be place inside a table cell for more control, is that possible?
Thanks.
Hi, this is not possible with the current version sorry.
I don’t know exactly, please send me a message via the contact form in my profile so we can discuss this further over by email. Thank you.
Hi,
How difficult would it be to implement a zoom into this?
Thanks
Hi, thank you for your interest but a zoom feature is not something I will implement on this plugin, sorry.
Hi,
I am relatively skilled with java-script. So I’m hoping it wouldn’t be too difficult to implement myself.
Since you built the plugin I was simply wondering how difficult it would be.
I think it’s pretty difficult, but you can give it a try.
Hi i am running this within a section of my parallax site with full page width and using the mouse roller to scroll through the site but when scrolling over the 360° Panoramic Viewer the mouse scroll is disabled. Is there a way i can un-disable this? Thanks
Joe
Hi, you can omit to include the jquery.mousewheel.min.js. This will disable the mouse scroll of the panorama.
There seem to be a problem with scaling the image in safari and google chrome. Sometimes you get the original size of the image. Any further info related to this?
Hi, can you further explain your issue by sending me a preview URL I can look at? Send me a message via the contact form in my profile and I’ll do my best to help.
Hi,
Great plugin. Having an issue with it though. On the iPad never gets past the preloader if it’s enabled and you never see the image either way. At first I thought the image I was using was too large so I scaled it down but still no dice.
Works great on all browsers on my pc but I really need to get it working on the iPad.
Thanks!
Hi, I’ll look into it if you can provide me a preview URL. Send me the details via the contact form in my profile and I’ll do my best to help out.
Hi there – Amazing plugin
I was curious, what is the easiest way to make an image pan only 180 degrees rather than the full 360 degree circle? Is this possible?
Thanks!
Hi, use the is360 option to activate the 180° mode. It’s that easy – please read the documentation of the plugin for details.
Is this implemented within the Java itself, or written within the HTML/CSS?
The plugin doesn’t use Java or Flash, just plain HTML, CSS and JS – again please read the documentation of the plugin for details, it will help you understand how to set it up and adding options. The examples can also help for a quick start.
Worked great
I’m also having issues getting the viewer to work with Opera – Should it work automatically or do I need to set it up myself? I know it says it’s compatible, but it does not appear to be working for me
Hi, make sure you follow the examples and update to the latest Opera version because that browser is full of issues on old versions.
It appears to actually be an issue with Windows 8, not with the javascript itself.
One last question I swear
I’m attempting to round the corners of the viewer with border-radius, however, when I scroll within the panorama, the image changes from rounded corners to straight corners as I’m scrolling.
Which containers, viewers, etc would I need to create border radius in to prevent this from happening?
Hi, this does have nothing to do with the plugin – I suggest you read these answers: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1280339/have-border-radius-cover-inner-divs
Is is possible to have polygonal or even circular hotspots, not just rectangular?
Hi, it currently the hotspots are limited to rectangular areas. You can achieve a circular effect by applying border-radius: 100% via CSS, but that’s about it.
Can I use the plugin only in fullscreen mode or can I use it in any rectangular space?
The plugin takes the width of container, so it can be used in a fixed dimensional box – there is a simple example for this in the purchased file.
Great, thanks!
I am using the version with Fancybox-integration. When the Fancybox image pops up, how can I have the opacity of its surrounding area reduced so that the scrolling panorama is still visible in the background? Thanks.
Hi, for fancybox options please take a look at the official plugin website: http://fancyapps.com/fancybox/
