Friends i want learn one of the best Ecommerce platforms. In CMS i like WordPress and now i want to learn Open-source Ecommerce Platform.

Need suggestion which is the best open-source platform that i have to learn. :)

Upto my knowledge Magento is leading e-commerce followed by OS-Commerce, Virtue Mart, Opencart, Tomato etc..

I had the same question a while ago. I would recommand Prestashop and/or Opencart! My choice was Prestashop :) Cheers!

I had a client who wanted ecommerce web site, I was looking at magento and opencart. Finaly a made him static web for now because I had no time to learn how to set up ecommerce platform. I wish there were some screencast for setting up or just quick guide on how to get start with these. I recomend to divelopers to make something like that if they want to sell more

OpenCart + Magento, are nice.

but magento have some complicated template costimization issue i think.

OpenCart is also very difficult for templating as it is MVC based system and you can not access and load variables, arrays and content just like this. This is the main reason most of the themes for both Magento and Opencart are just restyled default themes.
