Unfortunately there is one user at the marketplace who is uploading items to the Adobe Exchange without even asking the original author. I already contacted this person, but he decided to ignore the mails, but he has no problem to remove one of my comments from his item about this theme. There is no way to report (unbelievable but true) the matter with Adobe directly. So I wrote last week a support ticket and the following answer I received:

“Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will have it investigated and take appropriate action if necessary.”

I other worths, we don’t care. The user is still online, and didn’t remove anything. In the meantime he is collecting revenues from my and other authors work.

I demand the return of this referrals to the original authors or if this is not possible, donate the money but don’t reward people that shameless steeling from other authors.

Sincerely, anderworks

My question might seem dull – but what exactly are you expecting from your thread? I agree that file sharing is bad practice, but I am unsure about the influence of your thread.

All the best

Some people putting their sorrow in the drink, some people smoking weeds to ease their pain, some people writing in the forum when they hit a solid wall.

This has happend in the past and Adobe eventually deleted the files for another user’s account, who was doing the same practice, after some authors complaint to Adobe.

If a couple of other authors complaint to Adobe then I am sure they will take appropriate action.

Is it not the same as having my own site and promoting your work (or anybody elses)? Obviously the referral link would be mine?

You need to be the copyright owner to upload work on adobe exchange and marketplace.

Yes but you are missing the point. If the original author is intending to upload his file to Adobe Exchange then Adobe might reject his file as that product is already listed by another user as his product. Even if Adobe allows same product listing from multiple users then still the original author loses some $ because in search results at Adobe the file listed by the other user can come up first.

send a DCMA to Adobe, if he’s using anything that you created in your images you still own the copyright and can force them to take it down
