Is it possible to partner with a Graphic River or Audio Jungle author? Let’s say I want to use a GR print template as a foundation for an after effects project, to do it I would have to give a link to the GR product like many authors do with audio jungle files, but this method is really impractical if I edit the audio file, as the buyer would only get the unedited track and the ae project. Same thing would happen with GR source files so I was thinking if there’s a way in wich both author can get paid every time the after effects project is purchased instead of linking to external files. I think all marketplaces would benefit from this kind of integration, what do you think?
That’s an interesting idea! I’m not sure if it’s easy to implement but if we’d have something like this I would be really happy
It would benefit both marketplaces and authors too.
Look at this item, unique probably asked permission from the icon author from GR and things worked out marvelously: unique made a great logo reveal and the author from GR got exposure

Yes, but the source files are not included. What I mean is to be able to bundle the source files and that both authors get paid from the same purchase.

Hey guys, right now there’s no way to pull that off. And technically it goes against our policies. Mainly because you’d be distributing an item that’s for sale elsewhere on the marketplaces. With audio it’s a bit different, because you’re selling the project not the audio. The audio you use is intended to demonstrate the potential end result. If the buyer wants the audio he/she could buy it, or they could just use a different track.
Where as with this, you’d either need to include the graphic file which isn’t allowed (even with the author’s permission), or not include it. But then the file wouldn’t be approved. This is because if the graphic serves as a base for your project, not including the graphic would mean that the file wouldn’t work on it’s own, and you’d be locking your buyer into an additional purchase to make it work.
The only way something like this could be pulled off right now, would be if you communicated with the GR author and asked them to produce something similar specifically for use in your project. This is pretty much a collaboration, which takes places on most of the marketplaces already. Two authors work together on one file, and agree to split the earnings a certain way. Or in the case that one author is only contributing a small portion, you could offer a one-time payment for the use of the assets. But it needs to be clear that if an asset is created and distributed within a project, it can’t be also sold on it’s own via GR.

I understand Mark, but you could state that you can only use the GR file as a part o the ae project and even not include a 300 dpi version wich would make it useless for print applications. I think it would be great to have built in tools to facilitate authors colaborations.
i like the idea Mark said about collaborating w/GR authors to create specific graphics that would be just for specific AE projects, then figure out revenue splits etc that are fair … there’s a lot of very talented folks at GR, would be nice to see things like some of the background elements or gloss effects or other design elements integrated w/some of the aeps here

The way I see it you wouldn’t be distributing a file that is for sale elsewhere but bundling files like you did with the cinematic bundle. I know this is not posible right now but I think it could worked out if you see there’s potencial in such practice. What do you think Mark?
I have to say that this marketplace is amazing, & really different to any other. This would be a great feature, that will break all the “classic” trends of online markets.
