Hi there.

This is addressed to the Codecanyon staff. I recently had to make serious changes to one of my uploads. People are buying the item, and getting the wrong download.

I uploaded the changed / amended file, only to see it has to be “approved” before the new version goes live. This is horribly wrong and sinister IMHO .

Just let me quickly change the file, without the red tape. Sure, the new version will go live eventually; but this means buyers are getting a version that doesn’t work when they download it.

Which is unfair, and very annoying

Please allow me to make changes instantly without having to wait. Thanks

If there wasn’t control over these things, this place would be a mess. Just enough time for someone to perhaps sneak in a backdoor, or do something evil :P

Reviews need to check the content of the file for the security reasons, you cant avoid that.

I suppose. What you’re saying makes sense. In my case, there should be a reputation system built into my profile. If I was going to backdoor one of my scripts, my “seller rating” should decrease dramatically. But no such seller rating exists.

For first-time uploaders / Item-submitters, the current practice of having to wait is fair and reasonable. But it breaks my heart having to wait for the review.

Whenever I do an update it gets approved very quickly. Much quicker than the full review process. Often within a few hours.
