Which, makes London the unfortunate winner

Those of you who voted for London and are aboard, i.e. the US (4 votes) are you actually going to come? That’s a heck of a trip for just meeting up in a pub and means those up north are less likely to come and that it’ll be far more expensive for everyone Plus I don’t know London so I’m going to have to get someone else to organise it

If they cant come, can we change it to Birmingham? That or, we have 2 meetups, 1 in London and 1 in Birmingham, maybe join them up with skype and were good to go.

I agree London is not a good idea for that particular occasion. For sure if you are from abroad and want to visit London go for it it’s lovely, but it’s not a good place to go for a pint…and absolutely forget about it this summer during the Olympics as it will take about 2 days to travel 100 yards and it will cost £100 for a pint.

I wouldn’t say London sucks but I agree it is already starting to get a bit crazy and during the next 2 months -ha ha ha! forget it!

I would be happy to change my vote from London to Birmingham as i have never been there!

If it helps move this along then I will also retract my London/Birmingham vote and go with just Birmingham.

I warn you though, it’s not exactly what you would call a glamourous city, although I do know a handful of cool pubs/bars (if that is the nature of the meetup).

I think it is best to get the most of us possible together that will make it better the going somewhere nice and only having a few of us!
