Hey Everyone!

For the entire month of June, we’re running a sale on the Tuts+ Marketplace! In an attempt to stimulate sales and get some new customers to the site we’ve made the following pricing adjustments to items on the site (note, ebooks and items that cost more than $10 are excluded from the sale).

Pricing Changes

An item which was $3, is now $1. An item which was $4, is now $1. And so on, see below.

$3 => $1
$4 => $1
$5 => $2
$6 => $2
$7 => $3
$8 => $3
$9 => $4

The sale is only applicable to the Tuts+ Marketplace and is not being considered for other Marketplaces. We’re really hoping to stimulate the Tuts+ Marketplace, so head on over to grab yourself some awesome premium tutorials for cheap while you can! :D

Just noticed this in my earnings… (and was about to make a thread before I saw this) Not sure if this is really gonna help out. Sure, it might make more sales, but so far I’ve made less money than my average day :(

Gonna have to keep a lookout on the month to see how it turns out, but I smell doom in my earnings :( Getting 50cent a sale is pretty low.

My sales today did go up a bit (though nothing I haven’t hit before on normal prices), but as said, my actual earnings went down a bit, and I actually think the first few days will be better than the last part of the month (in the first few days, it’s got that novelty factor, and other authors will buy tutorials they’ve had a lookout for, but after the first week, all that disappears).

I sure hope that this will be coupled with some form of increased campaigning, perhaps across marketplaces, or just in general. Otherwise I see sales going up slightly, and earnings dropping significantly.

On a sidenote, it would have been nice if authors had been informed by a mail or something.
