Be very careful. If you do not own the copyright or have appropriate licence to distribute the file that would be piracy.

Can someone at least tell me who the freakin artist is and/or where I can get a license. I have the track now, but would obviously like to use it legally. Maybe I should use shazam? LOL !

I’m sorry that I can’t help in anyway but I just wanted to join the discussion. I’ve always wondered why those files are approved without proper information about the audio… If the description just says that “pm me for the audio” it sound really fishy to me. It’s just wrong if you buy a file and then ask for the audio and all you get is a download link or an audio track ripped from a movie and you don’t even know it!

Envato should have a rule that if the author can’t show where the audio is from (a purchase link or something) the project would be soft-rejected. Author should then include clear directions in the DESCRIPTION where anyone can see how to obtain the audio if they buy the template!

I completely agree SubsonicDesign. It bothers me that I truly don’t know the source of the audio. Is it available for free use? Can I license it? Where can I go to legally obtain it? These are all questions I would like to know the answer to. For whatever reason nobody can or will tell me these answers. I now know when I see “pm me and I will show you where to get the audio” that something is most likely not right. Too bad it cost me $20 to learn this lesson though. I just never expected something like this because I have spent tons of money on GraphicRiver with no problems. Seems like people found a loophole here at videohive and will use it as long as envato allows it. What a shame.

Occasionally audio is used in projects that comes from a competitor resource. Promotion of competitors, for example links, is not allowed on Envato ASAIK .

Lately I’ve stuck to using AudioJungle tracks because it seems the easiest option for buyers. I have a few files that use other commercial royalty free scores and I invite buyers to contact me for the details.

I always reply but I should say, I have been contacted countless times by people who have my work and who, on checking, have not purchased it legitimately from here. Almost all of these people have never purchased anything from any marketplace. I think you know what I mean…

This has been quite a difficult situation and I am a legitimate buyer. I do know what you mean though because there are a few people requesting the audio on the storm that have not purchased it. Anyway, if someone could send me a link of where to purchase the score to rryb77@Gmail.com I would appreciate it. I understand not linking to other material on the forum, but an email in this case should be fine.
