Hey guys… So I am looking through the FWA site, and just wondering, what does it take to get an award from them. I know that they are the top of the line awards, and there really isnt anything better, but what are the main elements that they look at…
For example, lets say I would want to submit my portfolio site im working on. My site may be awesome, and have many great features that you dont usually see, but my portfolio may not be that great. (as in just starting out… )
Every link I click on, the work that is featured within the site is amazing, and not only just the site, and I was wondering if that is what it takes… To have amazing work featured as well….
it’s imporant that your site pushes creativity beyond the norm. The content is important too, but if the overall experience of your site has the ‘wow factor’ then go for it.
Thanks Dajovion…
What do you think was the key element which wowed them with your site? I know that you have won one for your amazing site!

if you are planning to win an FWA award than keep in mind that you get a decent hosting package otherwise your site might be down in a single day due to bandwidth shortage.
Haha yeah I read about that too…
But the FWA is something that if I were to win, I wouldnt even know what to do… I mean I am just starting out, and havent submitted any of my sites to any web awards… And the FWA is the hardest one of all
What i do know is that it cost you about 50Dollar
BTW Triwork’s Site also an FWA site
Forget to say Dajovion is one of the Judges of FWA
Lifwanian, you’re just starting out?
Wow.
Dajavion is an FWA Judge?
Noice!
Thanks FlashCart!
Well I have been working with flash for about a year now… Im going to school and have work too, but pretty much anytime after im sitting down working with flash…
I did just now start doing some freelancing, so for my portfolio I only have about 4 larger works…
But hey, gotta start somewhere huh?
Dajovion, can you tell us more about the FWA judging? Like how many websites do you compare each day, etc… You know, a little bit of the process? If you could, I would greatly appreciate it!

I want to win a FWA award too

lifwanian the content is not so important IF your website is truly amazing. If your website pushes the “user experience” beyond limits, then the content will be less important..
