I appologize for my pesimistic thoughts, but I see a dark future here on activeden.
Just by looking at the couple of best templates released recently (in the last couple of months), its clearly visible that they dont sell like they used to..
So much for a motivation…
And what happened to the front page exposure?
There was a time when it was terrible, then staff started talking about “quality standards” and even managed to implement something which worked quite well for a while, and now we are back where we were before.
I am not neccesarrily saying that the standards have gone down, well they have somewhat, but they were never high enough in the first place.
Personally, when I see 10/15 new files on the frontpage in a single day, it makes me sick.
It would be nice it activeden could implement THE SAME quality standards like the ones on TF.
Otherwise with each new day more and more new authors coming means more and more new files approved, and in a future after your file gets approved it will dissapear from the front page in a Planck’s time.

I am not neccesarily saying that the standards have gone down
Maybe can sound rude, but i do.
Do we really need another negative post like this? Yes, things are tougher, but maybe we should all just spend more time coming up with positive solutions.
I do agree that quality is a bit sketchy – but this is not helped by the fact that a lot of long term authors have stopped uploading regularly (myself included).

Flash Templates link on Themeforest = problem solved for the most part
No real harm to TF can be done with that, only benefit for Activeden.
+1
I think that would be awesome.
Cheers

I belive that the home page should be modified / redesigned to better represent the quality of the stuff we have here. Then maybe more new buyers will stick to the marketplace.
A link to AD templates on TF, more expensive files on the home page, better search engine with more options to filter, preview image rollover… all great suggestions, I hope that at least one of them will be implemented soon
Ehh, yeah sales are dropping, but there aint much we can do. The envato team is on it, we’ve given them plenty of ideas, and now its all in their hands.
Until then, Im off to make new files and not waste my time talking about how something may go bad…

So many reasons… but I was trying to be positive
