Tags Now Searchable

If anyone didn’t realize, all those tags you’ve been adding to your files have now been indexed, yay! This means, customers and authors can now search for files based on tags! So if anyone still hasn’t got around to adding tags, you’re missing out!

Here’s an example:

Let’s say you’re looking for a romantic track with some piano.

I perform a search for “love romance piano” or “love, romance, piano”

I get these results.

Take a look at the tags of the returned items, and you should be able to see that tags are definitely being indexed.

If anyone spots any issues or problems, please feel free to point them out or ask questions in this thread!

Scott, what I thought was also that you can see the tags like on the Categories, and if you click on one of them you see the search results.. I’m not sure if I read that here or not..

really cool would be a new Sub Section under Files below Browse Categories.. in this section could be all tags placed that exists on AJ… and another idea would be a Tag Cloud, you know? it could be also just like that the more used tags like Loops or Piano are bigger than as example techno… hmm yea like it supposed to be by an Tag Cloud

All good ideas, danielku! I’ll be sure to pass them along for consideration. Yeah, I remember blazznet mentioning something similar about allowing tags to be visible and clickable in this thread. It doesn’t hurt to investigate these new concepts, thanks for sharing the ideas!
