What about “client_testimonial”?

If this turns out to fall into the 20% instead of 80% I could still see it as being entered into the post content and showing up on screen fine in most cases (blockquote via visual editor).

Id think testimonials would be a separate CPT as there generally used in two different areas in sites
This seems similar to what I’m doing/done, so would have to agree its a good way to go.
I have 2 portfolio plugins on CC and will be releasing further CPT plugins over the next week to cover what I consider to be useful post types which iv used. I created the EZ series as a modular drop and go solution for folks (and clients) who want this stuff but are perhaps already happy with their theme.
What about “client_testimonial”?
Definitely a good one. I’ve gotten several other requests for a “testimonial” post type as well. In fact, I already have most of the code for this one because I’ve got testimonials on my site.
Keep the ideas coming. As an update, here’s the post type suggestions so far:
- portfolio
- testimonials
- events
Others on my list are:
- ads
- FAQs

Definitely a necessary CPT . Maybe that’s what was meant. Originally I thought psvent had meant as a portfolio field but of course they said nothing of the sort.
UPDATE : For testimonial fields I have used just one and that is “Below Name” which is useful either for their location, business name, etc.
Here are some other CPT ’s I’ve used and have seen in use frequently:
- Staff – position field (aka Job Title)
- Locations – address, hours, phone number(s), map data
- Services
For Events, custom fields I’ve used are Start Date, End Date, Time, Venue, Address and Map details.
Naming is wrong.
Blog consists of posts. Portfolio consists of portfolio items.
You’re not adding a portfolio, you’re adding a new portfolio item.
Anyway, here is what I did for my Silverslide theme:CPT: -Portfolio items (Site, Flyer, etc.) fields:date, link url, link text, mark as fresh Taxonomy: -Portfolio category (Web, Print, etc.) CPT: - Clients fields: testimonial text, testimonial author, url, portfolio items for this client (array), featured image used as a client logo Taxonomy: - Industry

The plugin that’s already in the works uses portfolio_item as the post type name. That would be correct. A “portfolio” is a group of items.
Hello,
here are some CPTs i use frequently for my clients. maybe some of them could be useful:
Team Members
Clients
Services
Products
Partners
