So many job requests, should something be done to regulate this?

I see many requests for jobs of all sizes up for offer on the forums. Would it not be prudent to create a section specifically dedicated to freelance work offers? (To improve moderation and management)

I ask this because I notice that offers go out and people that seem to have no relationship or portfolio with the Envato marketplaces are offering their services or requesting help. I reckon that could be detrimental in the long term, for many reasons. Author’s that have succeeded in having items listed on the various marketplaces are obviously of a certain skill level to achieve this.

By creating a dedicated section, unsolicited/unwanted requests & offers could be filtered out. If a customer that has genuinely purchased a theme/whatever needs help, then people that reply should have a documented credibility (related to Envato). This prevents random sub-par designers and developers screwing things up and tainting the genuine reputations of hard working authors. (I have also noticed people/companies requesting help on items that have nothing to do with marketplace items whatsoever.)

I recently had an awkward experience with this. A guy requested help on the forum and because of the language barrier, it seemed as if he was being rude, people were telling where to get off (& rightly so). I felt sorry for him and offered to give him a quick hand with his issue. (He painted the picture of it being a marketplace item, when in fact it was something put together for him by a friend) In 20mins I sorted his issue and before you know it, I am supposedly going to spend the next 2-3 days helping him out for free. As far as he was concerned. (I should not have responded in the first place)

Separated jobs section = tighter moderation = protected author reputations != wasted time

Any thoughts?
