Hello, I’m not sure if this has been suggested or not, I’m sure it has. Anyway, I haven’t been here for a while =)
Was wondering if there can be a system where say I’m making a video template using music from some audiojungle guy, but to simplify it maybe there can be shared commission? Simply by me including his music in my template sales item and thus reducing the annoyance for clients who need to download 2 items? So when they purchase my item, the commission is automatically split accordingly.
What do you think?

That would be cool, allowing Authors to collaborate on all manner of projects, although I guess this would be a super tricky feature to implement from a devs perspective.
whoops, nevermind! haha! I didn’t read this right!
Yes very cool idea. For some reason I thought you were talking about referral rates. Guess that’s what happens when you work on a referral project all day.
Sharky! I was thinking about same thing in the last few days, courseI am not so old here;) . Cool, would bring only good things!

I think they’re talking about splitting earnings on items that are created collaboratively, not splitting referrals. eg: ItemX was created by user1, user2 and user3. When ItemX is purchased 33% of earnings goes to each user (or a custom % to each user)
Very complicated, but has been discussed a number of times in the past. I doubt we’ll see this kind of advanced earnings distribution system any time soon.
It might be time for someone to create a 3rd party script (or even a browser plugin) that will calculate percentages of earnings to be split on items created collaboratively * adds to my todo list *

Yep, I corrected myself. I’ve been working on an affiliate project all day and someone how my mind changed the word “comission” into “referral”

The idea of splitting commissions has come up a lot in the last couple years. In all honesty, it always comes down to the fact that it would only appeal to a niche audience. There are usually more vital things to work on.
...But I must agree that it would be a nice feature to have!
