Let’s say two authors want to share the profits of a theme they have mutually created.
Is there somewhere within the themeforest framework that you can do this and specify want percentage each author gets.
I would rather have transactions processed this way through themeforest rather then do it externally.

As far as I know, this is under development.
This was discussed a lot but there is no solution offered by Envato.
that would be a great idea!
Would Envato have to mediate disputes? Say you design the psd and I make a WordPress theme from it and agree to provide support. We agree to split the profit 70/30, but after a month I stop answering support emails. Do you go to Envato to have the agreement canceled?

This was in the works a while back but got put on hold. I don’t know if there are any plans to readdress it, but for now you’d need to do the process manually.
@ fillerspace I guess that is very true.
But I was reading, that the sellers aren’t obligated to support their themes anyway.
And the theme needs to be of a high enough quality to pass anyway.
That way the sales would still be coming in and the profits shared.
(I realise this is bad practice though.)
I’m just reluctant to do the whole paypal thing externally… Whoever is selling the template under their name has total financial control. They don’t have to split their earnings… All we have is their word of mouth, and frankly that’s too risky for me to consider at the moment.
I’ve noticed there are a lot of good designers out there who create good photoshop templates. All they need is a coder to bring their creation to life. And a lot of coders probably get rejected for ‘NOT BEING UNIQUE ENOUGH .’
It seems logical to setup a joint collaboration system to earn money. But, I guess the politics of who supports what may get a bit murky.

I presume that the engine is already done but some kind of problem they are having with it. I say that is done because it’s alive and working for the products in the bundles. Every time the bundles are sold the money earned are added the all the authors who have themes in there, so for two authors working together i do not think it would be a problem. Or would it?
