I have been running into a few scripts that the creator stopped supporting. Is there a way to log a comment/complaint about an author on this site so that people stop paying for things that no longer work?

Authors are not required to support their products on these sites. Saying this, if a product no longer works it should probably be removed. You should contact Envato directly at http://support.envato.com
