Hi guys, just a quick reminder, as it seems brochure prices will soon increase, don’t forget to update your item prices in Adobe Exchange, and/or anywhere else they are showcased. Good Luck to all. Cheers.

The Bad thing is if the price increases, the sales will drop, as $20 for a template hurt people if they had been purchasing the old low price.

I agree… I’ve noticed a drop in business card sales, since the increase. Not saying it’s a bad thing or complaining, just pointing it out.
I’m sure it will work it’s self out as time passes.

i think icrease of prices should be gradual: passing from 5-6$ to 20$ can be a bit scaring for buyers don’t you think? maybe they should just raise to 10$-12$ and in a future again to 15$ and so on…
I think it willl be just fine. The scary thing is that they have been buying a trifold, poster etc for $4-6 and 12-16-24 pages brochures for $6-$8 for ages, which is beyond underestimating our works worth and that should end as soon as possible and in one go, imo.
Plus, I bet not everything is gonna go to $20 depending on the item and most importantly the staff has made clear that they’re making a research so that even with the increase we’ll be the most affordable choice in the neighbourhood. So that alone should calm your fears, even if there will be a first ‘shock’ effect comparing old and new prices, I don’t see it lasting for long but only for a very small period of time b/c of the reason stated above. So in conclusion and imho you’re worrying too much instead of being happy about finally getting some more appreciation about the efford you/we put into our work.
Totally agree with you aRtlessX. And a drop in sales is not necessarily a bad thing, as revenue / profit will remain about the same.
Revenue = price * number of sales, right
It’s a good thing the prices are increasing, the prices have been very low, the main thing is not to undervalue our industry which is very important, I think we will all benefit in the future.
Spot on, ottonova. Plus, it doesn’t affect author’s commition rate since that’s not based on the number of sales.
PeterPap saidWell, for that, the prices should be even MUCH higher than $20, but let’s not touch that at the moment, it’s a looong discussion LOL

i hope so guys… but what leave me confused now is that only my item as such a high price.
it should be for everyone the same i guess, this is why i was wondering if is a mistake or not
i’m more than happy if price raises, it’s a reward for our hard work

Some here don’t realise that this brochure price increase is not an act of sudden impulse in hopes of simply increasing revenue, but the direct consequence of a long chain of events which some of us have been patiently defending for a long time, based solely on market reality. Indeed, it’s a great and deserved win for the community. Cheers.
