Hi All,
I recently updated one of my applications to support plugin support.
I would like to offer in a separate download a “Developer Pack” that contains some documentation on how to write a plugin. At this stage I have simply hosted it on my own server but I would be nice to track how many downloads and have it hosted here.
Is this possible?
I would also like the option to release some free plugins for my application, again having a separate item on codecanyon would be useful as I can then have comments for that particular section.
The last option is to simply sell the items at the lowest cost possible. $1?
What does everyone thing?
Thanks!

Freebies are tricky. Generally advertising any type of “free item” is a no-no. Best to just upload them here and ask the reviewer nicely to give it a very low price. However if it’s more of a developer pack that is mostly just documentation for a particular item then that should be fine.
Best of luck!
For the documentation I think it would be best in this case to host the download yourself and add a link to the description of the item or upload it to a tutsplus marketplace.
For the plugins I think it would be best to upload them and ask the reviewer to give it a price like $1 or $2 depending on the size and importance of the plugin.
