Paw this Paw that...

Okay there have been a few threads now about people receiving paws which can be irritating sometimes. Can there not be a seperate paw tab? Oaky prople might be thinking just ignore it but it does tend to flood the forum a bit. I’ve never done a thread about receiving a certain colour paw but I’ll probably end up doing one when I’ve done quite a lot of sales. Aanyway I’m not sure if this has been mentioed before but when someone receives a certain paw, don’t you guys think there should be some sort of gift like say credits or a seperate place to list autors that have reached a certain paw, titeld Latest Paw Receivers?

I only posted a thread when I got the red paw because I thought that might be a bit considerable achievement. Didn’t thought that will cause some problem.

No it’s not a problem! I’m not being negative about the paw thing. That’s great you got your paw and good luck for your next paw/s! As we seem to be getting quite a few paw threads, I just thought whether there might be another way to make it more of an indinvidal or separate item rather than threads about paws flooding in the the GR forum.

I am guessing if there is a “paw” tab then no one will be interested in visiting or viewing posts. There is a certain joy of showing off the paw to the entire community. For those who treat this as a business may not share their joy or talk about their new paw as opposed to us who treat it as a passion.

Hmmm, I’m two sales away from my first 100 … shall I make it a thread? lol

Honestly, I see both sides. We are proud we’ve achieved something great and we want to share it with the rest of the community, maybe even say thanks. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever.

On the other hand, we do get a lot of paws and milestones threads which in the end bring little to the quality of the forum.

I guess it’s a judgement call … By tomorrow or so you will see what judgement I made on my milestone … lol

Happens in one form or another in most online communities. It’s obviously cool if people are happy and want to express it. No issues with that! Possible solution is simply making a New Paw! sticky thread permanently. Add a forum rule saying to express your new paw joy there and Mods can move them there if spotted.

I don’t mind it currently but it can certainly get out of hand if a dozen people start posting them every single day.

I don’t see the problem with it myself. I think it’s encouraging to other Authors to see other people reaching higher levels.

It encouraged me and made me know that it was possible to reach those paws.

Yes I think the sticky thread would be a good solution for this at the moment.

Good idea with the sticky thread but after some time it might become boring and way too big.
