they tryied to shutdown piratebay but they failed, because the country where piratebay is hosted didnt allowed fbi or police to close it, they but most of the ips blocked piratebay, for example italian isp , my italian isp blocked such piracy websites ..
I don’t understand why they close these kind of websites. I understand that it can be bad for business but piracy won’t end.
Besides that, people who download illegal stuff aren’t potential customers, so companies will never increase their profit by shutting down these websites.
The problem here is the freedom of Internet. There are many countries who block websites, and even if they are illegal, I think they must be accessible.
Mainly because the goal of Internet it to make information accessible anywhere, at any time.
Deleting the illegal files is correct and should be done, but blocking/ shutting down websites can be seen as censoring the Internet.
Well said ThemesFever. The Freedom of choise.

I agree. just watch those videos to get some insight. But don’t worry they will not come after the simple user just because he downloaded a movie, like this guy say, he just want you to be scared and take action
And he is right, you have to take action.
Also, maybe those big media companies should start making some great movies and songs, in the last couple of years the movies they made aren’t worth the time to download it from piratebay and they want me to pay 10 euro to see them in cinema?
notice: I don’t use piratebay. Because is blocked in Italy.
