Well, in fairness, I should have added that Microsoft is no where near being able to push HTML5 , CSS3, and JavaScript. IE9 still isn’t released, and it has to gain considerable market share in order to push those technologies. So for the time being, Silverlight is still their solution for cross-platform (except linux) experiences on the Web. There will be a Silverlight 5, but no news on its release and whether it’ll be the last before the switch.
It’s a shame, really. Compared to other technologies, frameworks, and languages, HTML , CSS, and JavaScript really sucks for app development, and it’s still very limited in what someone can accomplish within a reasonable amount of time and code. The world needs SL/Flash until client development gets better.

Yeah – I’ll probably push forward with this subcategory in March. I first need to find somebody who is really skilled in that area. I’ll need help plotting out the category structure, and preparing seed content for the category.
